John Jones aka the Martian Manhunter is one of the strongest and one of the most popular members of the Justice League in the DC Universe. He is the last surviving member of an ancient Martian species and he has lived for over 200 years. Thankfully, he decided to be on the good side of Earth instead of conspiring to take over the planet.
Martian Manhunter's powers are diverse, although not very unique. His strength is comparable to the likes of Superman and Wonder Woman, which means, there aren't many DC supervillains who can dominate him in battle. Nevertheless, the Marvel Comics have a lot of supervillains, who would like to think of Martian Manhunter as an easy target to get by.
10 Magneto
Magento is one of the most powerful mutants of all time and while his powers have degraded from time to time, at his best, he is still considered to be an Omega Level mutant. Magnetokinesis is what his superpower is called and he can not only manipulate Earth's gravity using it but he can also wreak havoc on the planet using electromagnetic waves.
While Martian Manhunter might be able to match Magento's strength, he would be lucky to even find himself in proximity to the leader of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.
9 Abomination
Emile Blonsky is only second to the Hulk when it comes to having a monstrous presence as well as pure brute strength. Abomination is someone who has served a lot of celestial beings and when he hasn't been fighting with the Hulk, he can be seen leading groups and learning other important skills.
Martian Manhunter will not only struggle to keep up with the right hooks of Abomination, but he will also find it tough to keep the monster down. The DC superhero will have to get creative but everything will be against him.
8 Ego
A celestial being by definition, Ego is a being embodying a planet. He draws his powers from his planet to the point where he can do practically anything he wishes, ranging from simple matter manipulation to the creation of energy.
Martian Manhunter is a mere mortal and comparatively, he is nowhere near Ego, both in terms of strength and supernatural abilities. Ego's life mission is to consume planets and to continuously seek a higher power. His sheer hunger makes him a huge threat to the Marvel Universe.
7 Anti-Man
Anti-Man comes from the universe of the Blue Marvel. While the latter developed otherworldly superpowers, thanks to an experiment gone horribly wrong, the former became an unstable individual. Anti-Man draws his power from an unlimited reservoir of antimatter energy.
He can not only manipulate antimatter, but he can also use it to do almost anything he desires. His strength will be almost impossible to match for Martian Manhunter, not to mention the array of superpowers he will have to deal with.
6 Michael Korvac
Michael Korvac is a human turned Cyborg turned celestial being. Living on a parallel reality Earth, Korvac betrayed his own species when an alien race invaded the planet. His intelligence is off the charts, combined with the fact that he has yielded the Power Cosmic.
He is one of the strongest humans to ever exist and Martian Manhunter wouldn't stand a chance in a duel, much like the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, both of whom Korvac has defeated.
5 The Magus
The darker version of Adam Warlock, the Magus is well-known in the Marvel Universe for being a creature who has yielded the Infinity Gauntlet. He is another celestial being capable of harnessing and using cosmic energy, combined with his army of the Universal Church of Truth.
The Magus has almost identical abilities to Adam Warlock. And even if he doesn't have the Infinity Gauntlet while battling Martian Manhunter, he will defeat the DC superhero with ease.
4 Molecule Man
The existence and powers of Molecule Man have long been a topic of debate. Once a technician, Owen Reece found himself exposed to an unknown form of radiation and he was granted a unique set of powers. He became a cosmic entity, with an ability to manipulate molecules to an obscene level.
Not only that, but Owen's existence was multiplied by the number of universes present. And if he were to die in one reality, that particular reality may very well be wiped out permanently. Martian Manhunter would be a nothing opponent for him.
3 Mikaboshi
Based on the existence of a Japanese Demon, Mikaboshi is a Godly being capable of almost any feat imaginable. He is so strong that he can absorb the whole multiverse in one go. Shapeshifting, matter manipulation, reality alteration, etc, is all the same to him.
Mikaboshi can beat Olympian Gods without any fuss, which makes the task of annihilating Martian Manhunter a very easy one.
2 Tyrant
Created by one of the most powerful Marvel supervillains of all time, Tyrant is a machine full of himself. He has a similar want for power like his creator, Galactus. He has almost an identical skill-set too. Tyrant can beat any cosmic being without breaking a sweat.
At his best, he can give the Devourer of Worlds a run for his money. Martian Manhunter would be wise to simply walk away from this fight or make sure to bring some handy backup.
1 Doctor Doom
Doctor Doom and Martian Manhunter can have a battle for the ages. But the problem that the DC superhero will face is countering Doctor Doom's magical powers. If there's something Jones cannot prepare for, it is Doctor Doom's mystical nouse.
On top of that, Doom is an absolute genius who has pre-determined plans for almost every situation. If Justice League isn't present, Martian Manhunter would suffer the wrath of one of Marvel's most iconic supervillains.
