What is considered “best” is definitely debatable, as something that is the “best” for one person may just be “average” for another. Even so, there is no denying that all the fights mentioned below are ones that are worth remembering, be it because of their excellent animation, the unexpectedness of the fight or of the result itself.

10 Rui Slaughtering The Demon Slayers Showed How Easily They Can Take Out Humans

Of course, a demon killing humans wasn’t a good thing in any way. However, Rui’s control over the slayers showed exactly how powerful he was. The anime then went a step ahead and showed viewers how easily he could kill humans in mere seconds, thanks to his steel threads.

If anything, Rui’s slaughter of the demon slayers set the tone for the season’s penultimate battle – the one between him and Tanjiro.

9  Inosuke And The Father Spider Demon Was A Surprisingly Long But Satisfying Fight

This was a surprisingly long fight, where even Tanjiro fought the demon, but eventually left to fight with Rui. Inosuke knew he was at a disadvantage because all the blood he had lost resulted in him becoming weaker.

Even so, not only did he manage to cut off the demon’s arm, but managed to temporarily chase him away. Seeing the demon come back even stronger than he was before, Inosuko decided to go out fighting.

7 Yushiro Punching Susamaru Took Viewers By Surprise

Yahaba and Susarumaru’s ambush took everyone by surprise, and hurt Tamayo and Yushiro. Yushiro recovered quickly, so he went out to the battleground to fight Susamaru. He turned invisible and easily landed several hard punches on her stomach.

He didn’t stay long, though, because his first priority was to get his Lady Tamayo to safety, seeing as how she was still recovering.

6 Zenitsu And The Spider Demon Boy Featured An Emotional Flashback

Expectedly, Zenitsu is overcome with fear and fainted while trying to evade the demon’s attack. As he fell down from the tree, he transformed and used his Thunder Breathing, First Form.

At that point, Zenitsu got flashbacks of his grandfather’s words of encouragement, which acted as a catalyst for him. He was mobbed by hundreds of spiders, who he killed instantly. He again used Thunderclap and Flash, and beheaded the demon boy.

4 Tamayo Controlling Susamaru With Her Spell Was Eerily Calm

In perhaps what was one of the calmest battle victories in the anime, it was Tamayo who managed to defeat Susamaru. She kept on talking to the demon, keeping her occupied, while at the same time using her Magical Aroma of Daylight.

This made Susarumaru put down her defenses and she ended up muttering Muzan’s name, due to which she was killed from the inside out.

3 Giyu Fighting With Shinobu To Protect Tanjiro And Nezuko And Openly Defying The Hashira Code

The one time Giyu openly defied the hashira code was when he fought another hashira (Shinobu) to protect Nezuko, a demon. Shinobu was visibly shocked, stating how she couldn’t understand why he would defend a demon.

Giyu did not explain himself, but the two resorted to swordfighting. Thankfully, a messenger bird from their sensei ended the fight only after a few minutes.

2 Inosuke’s First Kill In The Series Showed The Power Of His Self- Made Beast Breathing

Inosuke’s entry in the anime was quite interesting, especially seeing how even as a main character, he was unable to defeat the Drum Demon.

He left that demon to Tanjiro, and found himself another demon that shared the same house. Thanks to his self-made Beast Breathing, he was able to instantly cut off the arms of the demon, and then beheading him.

1 Zenitsu Beheading An Unnamed Demon Revealed His Fight Form

This is the first time viewers get to see Zenitsu in his fight form, which came as a shock, since he was quite a good demon slayer.

After he fainted, he was able to slash the demon’s tongue. Then, he used his Thunder Breathing, First Form (Thunderclap and Flash), and ran from one end of the room to the other in a split second. All the while, he managed to behead the demon that was threatening his life, as well protecting young Shoichi.
