The power system of Naruto involves a repertoire of jutsu that dabbles with nature/shape transformations and whatnot. Granted, it’s not the most intricate power system nor it is the most creative; that said, it is an iconic one that fans appreciate. Its lack of complexity is what makes it attractive in the first place, other aspects of the series can more than cover for the lacking parts.
Moreso, its apparent simplicity makes it much easier to expand upon it with little to no repercussions. And Naruto did just that, and as a result, the chakra power system developed into a nearly all-encompassing state. Numerous jutsu exist; there are the essential ones with many shinobi having practiced them, as well as some difficult-to-learn ones that only the best of the best could experiment on.
10 Multiple Shadow Clone Technique
It’s the same old Shadow Clone Technique, but multiple. Without a chakra reserve of at least a Tailed-Beast, performing this jutsu will almost be impossible. Even the giants of shinobi are only able to create a dozen or so shadow clones at a time.
As such, due to how straining it is, most people leave it untouched. Only the likes of Naruto with an absurd amount of chakra are capable of casually executing it.
9 Sage Mode
The amount of concentration that Sage Mode demands is simply inhumane. For the average shinobi, it’s a technique of the myths. Even decades of practice will not be able to guarantee a proper man-nature resonance.
With that in mind, the few who actually learned and perfected the technique could be counted in two hands. And all of these prodigies spent years and decades of hardcore grinding to make it as sages -- of course, with the exception of Naruto.
8 Reanimation Technique
Reanimation Technique is a forbidden jutsu (kinjutsu) that blurs the line between life and death. At its core, it is a technique designed to pull back the dead from their graves -- pretty outrageous, even by Naruto’s standards.
The 2nd Hokage, Tobirama Senju, realized this and struck the jutsu, his own creation, with the ban hammer. Orochimaru and his apprentice discovered the jutsu and worked on it, trying their best to perfect the flawed Jutsu. The latter achieved more in that regard.
7 Chidori
Chidori really is a simple Jutsu; both its corners and applications are within proper reason. As such, it wouldn’t take much effort for the true geniuses of shinobi to learn it.
But with all that being said, successfully learning the jutsu does not necessarily mean being able to apply it in everyday combat. Chidori is stitched on a backbone that not many people possess, Sharingan. Without it, the jutsu would do more harm than good.
6 Particle Style: Atomic Dismantling Jutsu
Particle Style: Atomic Dismantling Jutsu stands at the apex of nature transformations. It’s a technique involving not one, not two, but a whole three nature transformations at play (earth, wind, and fire) -- no other jutsu have achieved this.
This technique is easily S-rank. So far, only two people were able to learn it, both of which are respectable former Tsuchikage.
5 Flying Thunder God Technique
The younger brother of the God of Shinobi, Tobirama Senju, truly does not stray far off from his brother’s legacy. Those who can compete with him in the ninjutsu department are nearly non-existent.
Flying Thunder God Technique is one of the many techniques he had developed in his lifetime. It’s an S-rank jutsu both in name and prowess. Let alone using, just learning its basic would prove impossible to most ninja.
4 Wind Style: Rasenshuriken
According to Kakashi, Rasenshuriken is an impossible technique to learn. Considering who it’s coming from, that statement does hold a certain extent of truth to it. Rasenshuriken is, in fact, impossible to learn... unless you are Naruto.
Naruto himself was only able to acquire it through sheer brute force. He relied on his monstrous chakra reserve to chip down the technique with numbers. It’s only with the accumulated experience of thousands of shadow clones was he able to tackle it.
3 Ninja Art: Mitotic Regeneration
Ninja Art: Mitotic Regeneration is yet another technique whose users amount to less than the number of fingers in one hand. It’s as good as medical ninjutsu could get, a state-of-the-art jutsu with formidable healing capabilities.
Tsunade and Sakura are the only confirmed users who could pull off this technique. Even Shizune, an apprentice who followed the former for more than a decade, failed to acquire it.
2 Sealing Technique: Dead Demon Consuming Seal
Just like how Ninja Art: Mitotic Regeneration is the apex of medical ninjutsu, Dead Demon Consuming Seal is the apex of sealing jutsu. It’s a technique developed by the ancestors of the Uzumaki Clan, the foremost pioneers of the sealing jutsu scene.
This technique uses its user’s soul as fuel. It’s only two known users, Hiruzen and Minato, lost their lives as a result of utilizing it. On the bright side, it never fails once executed.
1 Six Red Yang Formation
The Four Red Yang Formation is a barrier technique that is said to be applicable only to those at kage-level. Its superior version and direct evolution, Six Red Yang Formation, is one step above that. It’s safe to say that only those above kage-level could hope to learn it.
The durability of this barrier is head and shoulders above its predecessor; tanking as much as multiple Tailed Beast Bombs from the Ten-Tails without crumbling.
