One Piece: 10 Strongest Samurai In The Land Of Wano | CBR

The Wano Country is a place filled with mystery in the One Piece world. Cut off from the rest of the world years ago, Wano is considered to be too powerful, and thus, not even the Marines think of ever interfering with their affairs. Wano is known as the land of the Samurai and their power and reputation are known throughout the world.

The Wano Country arc of One Piece has introduced fans to lots of powerful Samurai who have picked up arms against Yonko Kaido and aim to defeat him.

10 Izo

Izo is the former 16th Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates and was once a vassal of Kozuki Oden as well. After the Paramount War, Izo's whereabouts remained unknown, however, he was brought back into action by Marco the Phoenix for the War of Onigashima.

Izo fought against Kaido and managed to wound him with some powerful attacks like the slicing bullet rounds. Ultimately, he lost to the Yonko, however, was impressive nonetheless.

9 Kawamatsu

Another vassal of Kozuki Oden, Kawamatsu is a pufferfish Fishman who took the identity of a Kappa at a young age. He is an exceptionally talented sumo wrestler and a great user of Ryou.

Kawamatsu's swordplay with his beloved Soto Muso was seen against Kaido and he managed to slice through his skin as well. It goes without saying that Kawamatsu is one of the strongest characters in the Wano Country arc.

8 Okiku

Okiku is the sister of Izo and one of Oden's most loyal retainers. After the death of Oden, she was sent to the future by Toki and is currently fighting against Yonko Kaido. Okiku's swordplay is exceptional and she was able to cut down Kanjuro without taking any significant injuries.

She also managed to injure Kaido, however, lost an arm during the fight. Okiku's strength and spirit are exceptional and make her one of Wano's strongest.

7 Ashura Doji

Ashura Doji was once the ruler of the lawless zone of Kuri until Oden defeated him and made him a follower of his. Oden's death made Ashura return to his old ways until the chance for revenge finally popped up again.

During the Wano Country arc, Ashura managed to heavily injure Jack the Drought, one of Kaido's right-hand men, and even injure Kaido himself before being defeated by him.

6 Denjiro

Denjiro took the identity of Kyoshiro until recently and waited 20 years for his chance to vanquish Kaido. He is one of the most impressive members of the Nine Red Scabbards and his fight against Kaido showed that.

Denjiro also managed to hold back Zoro quite effortlessly and inflicted several wounds on Yonko Kaido's body, making him bleed.

5 Kin'emon

The leader of the Akazaya Nine and Oden's most trusted vassal, Kin'emon is the strongest Samurai who belongs to Wano Country at the moment. He fought Kaido during the Fire Festival and inflicted several injuries on him. Kin'emon even cut through his boro breath and proceeded to slice his mouth with his Ryou.

His Ryou is exceptionally powerful and he is also proficient in the ways of Oden Two-Sword Style. Like some of the other members of the Akazaya, Kin'emon used Togen Totsuka in his final stand against Kaido but was defeated.

4 Inuarashi

One of the leaders of the Mokomo Dukedom, Inuarashi is a dog mink who was also one of Oden's vassals and a member of the Nine Red Scabbards. He is exceptionally skilled in the ways of the sword and his Haki is exceptionally powerful as well.

Inuarashi managed to take down Jack with Nekomamushi's help in a single blow, which is extremely impressive. What's more, he also played a part in injuring Kaido with the Togen Totsuka. His Sulong form gives him quite an edge over some of the other Scabbards.

3 Nekomamushi

Nekomamushi is the other ruler of the Mokomo Dukedom and one of the strongest Samurai in the land of Wano. Although Nekomamushi joined the war quite late, he arrived in time to fight Kaido and with his Sulong form combined with Haki, managed to pierce his extremely tough defense.

Nekomamushi also took down Jack effortlessly, and in the fight against Kaido, did well enough to earn his praise and respect before ultimately losing to him.

2 Zorojuro

Zoro is a member of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the strongest swordsmen in the series. In the Wano Country arc, he took on the identity of a Ronin called Zorojuro until the day of the Fire Festival. Zorojuro is incredibly skilled in the Three-Sword Style technique.

With Enma, his control over his Haki has increased even further and he is currently engaging in a fight against Yonko Kaido where he will show his true worth.

1 Trafalgar Law

The captain of the Heart Pirates and one of the Worst Generation members, Trafalgar Law also took the identity of a Samurai during the Wano Country arc. Like Zoro, he is extremely skilled in the ways of the blade and with his Ope Ope no Mi, he is extremely difficult to take on in battle.

Although he was weak compared to Luffy previously, he's gotten much stronger in the Wano Country arc. Being a direct rival of Luffy, he is among the strongest on Onigashima and will play a major role in defeating Kaido.
