YouTube Star Scott the Woz Raises Over $100K for Critical Care Comics

Back in November, online personality Scott Wozniak -- known for his YouTube series Scott The Woz -- partnered with Pixel Empire to launch the Scott The Woz Merchandise for Charity Bonanza 2020, selling limited edition merch to benefit both Critical Care Comics and the Children's Miracle Network. The campaign has now concluded, with over $200,000 being raised in total.

Wozniak announced at the start of the campaign that the proceeds for the 2020 Charity Bonanza would be split evenly between Children's Miracle Network and Critical Care Comics. By the end of the campaign in January, approximately $203,762 was raised. Today, Wozniak shared his receipts, with the YouTuber donating a total of $101,761.22 to Critical Care Comics.

True to his word, Wozniak donated that very same amount to Children's Miracle Network, plus an additional $16,000 across five donations to CMN-affiliated hospitals, for a grand total of $219,522.44 in donations.

Founded in 2012 by Jason Golden and based in Las Vegas, Critical Care Comics is a charity that aims "to give children and families a momentary escape from reality -- whether they are in a hospital room, homeless shelter or medical treatment facility." The organization is best known for donating comic books and toys to children's hospitals, as well as for staging visits from volunteers dressed as popular superheroes. Meanwhile, the Children's Miracle Network is a non-profit organization that raises for children's hospitals across both the United States and Canada.
