AHS "Double Feature" Drops a Vampiric Glimpse at S10 | CBR

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy shared a new photo from Season 10's set -- a season that plans to be two-stories in one, delving into the horrors by the sea and sand.

The ominous image appears to show two bald, vampire-like figures standing in the middle of the street, as seen on Murphy's Instagram. A street light illuminates the spooky shape of the two creatures. Murphy captioned the shot, "Night Moves," with the hashtag "#AHS10."

Murphy shared the image just days before he revealed that American Horror Story: Double Feature will actually consist of two separate mini-series airing back to back. He described the two installments as "two horrifying stories... one by the sea [and] one by the sand."

"It means two seasons for the fans airing in one calendar year," Murphy stated previously. "So double the viewing pleasure. One set by the sea (this cast has already been announced). A second by the sand (that casting announcement coming)."

Finn Wittrock, who was already announced as part of the cast for Season 10, also recently discussed how the latest installment of American Horror Story will differ from past seasons. "I think this is OK to say, I think the suspense in this and the tight, constrained nature of the story is different than other seasons," the actor said at the time.

"I was really interested in trying to mount the pressure in the right way, if that makes sense," he added. "It is different in tone than a lot of the other seasons." Wittrock previously appeared in Seasons 4 (Freak Show), 5 (Hotel), 6 (Roanoke) and 9 (1984).

In regard to newcomers in Season 10, Murphy shared the first photo of Macaulay Culkin on set in early March. The image showed the actor posing with co-star Leslie Grossman, and featured the caption, "Something wicked this way comes. American Horror Story Season Ten." Culkin's and Grossman's official roles in AHS' upcoming season have yet to be announced.

American Horror Story stars Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross, Finn Wittrock, Frances Conroy and Macaulay Culkin. Season 10 has yet to receive a premiere date.
