The Belcher kids are lovable weirdos. At times, it seems Louise, Gene and Tina's main goal in life is to drive Bob insane while simultaneously enabling and encouraging his worst attributes. But that's why fans rightfully enjoy all three of them. Even though they are prone to doing strange things, they are somehow not the most absurd characters Bob's Burgers has to offer. That honor belongs to Andy and Ollie.
Across the street from the Belcher resident and restaurant sits Jimmy Pesto's, a mediocre pseudo-Italian joint that is infinitely more successful. It's operated by Jimmy Poplopovich, who goes by the name Jimmy Pesto. Until recently, Jimmy and Bob were mortal enemies. The ongoing friendship between the Belcher kids and Jimmy's three sons -- Jimmy Jr., Andy and Ollie -- is partly responsible for their fathers' improved relationship. Bob's Burgers fans have seen the most of Jimmy Jr. because he's in Tina's class at Wagstaff School and also her main love interest.
Jimmy's other sons are twin boys named Andy and Ollie. They are Louise's best friends. Although whether or not she would actually admit that is unclear because they've often been described as her henchmen. Regardless, Andy and Ollie are two well-meaning, genuinely nice children who would quite literally give someone the shirts off their backs, even if that person did not ask for their shirts or even need them in the first place.
Calling Andy and Ollie strange might be one of the greatest understatements that has ever been conceived. Participating in a science fair is a completely normal activity for grade school kids. But Andy and Ollie took it to the next level, coming up with a science project that involved Andy pulling Ollie's hair out with a pair of tweezers until he was bald. This strange incident rivals the time the boys tried rubbing their eyes together so Ollie could give Andy his pink eye.
Throughout the series, the duo frequently makes it clear that they don't want to be separated. On a field trip to the museum, Mr. Frond employed the buddy system with the kids. He tried pairing Andy and Ollie with other kids, only to have them completely freak out like someone was removing a kidney without using any anesthetic. Coincidentally, this was also the episode that introduced another key member of the Belcher crew, Regular Sized Rudy.
Frankly, there's no end to the absurdity that Andy and Ollie bring to the series. They inject insanity into each scene they appear in, with every action and every line. Despite their minor role, Andy and Ollie Pesto manage to stand out on a series filled with amazing characters. Without them around, Bob's Burgers just wouldn't be as much fun. If the show ever crosses over with South Park, fans would love watching them team up with Butters.
