DC's BizarroTV Anthology Show Isn't Dead Yet | CBR

Despite the fact that very little has been revealed about the show since its initial announcement, DC's planned BizarroTV anthology series could still potentially see the light of day.

As part of the latest installment of his Inside Line feature, TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich was asked about the current status of BizarroTV. He replied, "I put on my best domino mask and snooped around, and while there are no updates at this time on the mixed-media anthology series announced in October 2019 at NYCC, it eventually coming to be is 'not off the table.'"

BizarroTV was announced at New York Comic Con 2019 as a short form, mixed-media anthology television series from Blue Ribbon Content. The official press released promised "fan favorite characters from the more obscure corners of the DC universe," such as "Space Cabbie, Ambush Bug, Slam Bradley and the Creeper."

The show was initially slated to premiere on the DC Universe streaming service sometime in 2020. However, that never happened, likely as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as well as the fact that DC Universe has been restructured as DC Universe Infinite, with its original programming either ending or migrating to other outlets -- most notably HBO Max. It's unclear if and when BizarroTV will find a new home, though based on Mitovich's findings, the project has not officially been given the axe just yet.
