The White-Clad were a clandestine order of cultists in service to the Evangelist and the main antagonists of the Fire Force anime. Each of them possesses extraordinary pyrokinetic abilities that help them usher in the second apocalypse and what is destined to be the end of the world.
However, their members have vast disparities in skill. Through identifying the most lethal villains of the organization, we can best appreciate the magnitude of the threat that Company Eight faces as they continue their war to save the Empire from certain destruction. Further, it becomes easier to prioritize the cult's most imperative targets.
10 Arrow Has An Extraordinary Ranged Projectile But Little Else
Soft-spoken and surprisingly honorable, Arrow was the White-Clad's expert sniper. During the attack on Company Seven's district, she lined up a shot that would have claimed Benimaru's life if not for Shinra's gallant intervention.
However, her battle against Hinawa made her deficiencies clear. As deadly as her ranged attacks might be, she is a disappointing melee fighter. Moreover, she cannot unleash projectiles as reliably as the Company Eight fire soldier does, placing significant limitations on her astoundingly devastating ability.
9 Iron Is An Imposing Brute With Exploitable Weaknesses
Iron was an unstoppable juggernaut who bolstered his already sturdy defenses by tempering the metal in his body. In addition to his high durability, he also possessed brawn to match.
However, he is weak at the joints, a fact that Hinawa exposed when defeating him. Considering his low intelligence and speed, his vulnerability reduces the threat the otherwise invulnerable villain might pose to the heroes attempting to thwart his masters. Additionally, his sluggish movements are easy to predict and avoid to such an extent that Hinawa and Takigi Oze were able to have an argument about an unrelated topic while fighting him.
8 Ritsu Has Vast Potential But Is Limited By Her Reagent Requirement
Ritsu was a woman capable of creating colossal infernals by fusing them together. They were devastating enough to cause a massive crater on the moon when combined with one of the Eight Pillars and required all of Company Eight (and even Charon) in order to detain.
Though this should render her second only to the Evangelist herself in power, she has a monumental weakness that limits her capacity. To create her constructs, she must have dozens of cadavers on hand to sacrifice. On her own merit, she is less than formidable.
7 Orochi's Whips Are Lethal & Extremely Fast
Orochi was able to concentrate her flames into whips that could sear through flesh in an instant. With her ability, she killed Juggernaut's closest friend in the blink of an eye for an unceremonious (and morbidly comical) death. Were it not for his talent to hide his limbs in his clothing, the cultist would have also killed him dozens of times over.
She has a number of weaknesses that limit her viability as a warrior. Not only does Orochi lack diversity in her powers, but she also has extremely low durability and was killed in a single hit.
6 Giovanni's Augmented Body & Versatile Toolkit Render Him A Fierce Combatant
Giovanni was one of the most intelligent members of the White-Clad. Having been responsible for stealing Vulcan's key and as a former member of Haijima's Company Three, he was among the few antagonists to have been frequently successful in his evil.
In addition to his mechanical body, he has enhanced himself with the biological parts of an insect to predict his enemy's movements. This allows him to combat multiple foes much faster than himself, such as Shinra Kusakabe and Arthur Boyle.
5 Tempe Is A Virtually Indestructible Demon Graced By The Evangelist Herself
Tempe was a demon infernal who was personally transformed by the Evangelist. In his enhanced and smoldering state, he possessed staggering durability and strength. Even the combined attacks of three fire soldiers could not meaningfully harm him - it only delayed their undoing.
Were it not for the Adolla Link Shinra established with the forest's guardian, it would have been impossible to overcome the monster's horrifying defenses and bring him down. Tempe has mastered all of Iron's durability with none of his exploitable weaknesses.
4 Sho Can Move At Dizzying Speed & Even Freeze Time Itself
Sho possessed an Adolla Burst and was groomed from infancy to be the White-Clad's finest weapon. His ability allowed him to momentarily halt time itself, unleashing a flurry of attacks in the brief window he had against his enemies.
This renders him an astoundingly deadly adversary that few can contend with, especially since his power is complemented by his own innate skills. Though his attacks were not fatal against Shinra, he was likely holding back.
3 Haumea's Mental Manipulations Are A Nightmarish & Nearly Unbeatable
Haumea was able to influence the brain chemicals of her targets through a series of calculated and precise electric shocks. This effectively manipulates their emotions to her will and is virtually impossible to avoid.
As a result, she is among the White-Clad's deadliest members, especially since she can turn her opponents against themselves. Her only known weakness is through adversaries that command plasma, such as Arthur Boyle. Consequently, she prefers to travel alongside allies that can protect her from him.
2 Charon Was Able To Absorb A City Destroying Attack
Charon was able to reflect damage dealt against him as explosive bursts of heat through absorbing it into his body. With this skill, not even Shinra could overcome him with the instruction of Benimaru, and he has almost no discernable weaknesses.
Additionally, his power cannot be overcharged. When a monstrous infernal unleashed an attack that almost obliterated the entire city, he absorbed it into his chest and deflected it skyward. The damage he contained was so monumental that it created a visible crater on the moon itself, permanently defacing it.
1 The Evangelist Is A Mysterious & Divine Entity Whose Power Has No Measurable Limit
The Evangelist was the leader of the White-Clad and a divine entity rumored to exist outside the boundaries of Earth itself. Little is known about her potential, though establishing an Adolla Link with her allowed Shinra to move faster than the speed of light.
Moreover, after she has collected all of the Pillars, the Evangelist will be able to unleash a second global catastrophe that will herald the end of the world in a fiery explosion. The White-Clad's endgame speaks to her harrowing power and portends that the heroes may ultimately not defeat her.
