Koji Kashin is a member of the evil organization known as Kara, which was established by Jigen in Boruto. He made his appearance with the rest of the group upon their debut, but Koji's role was slightly bigger than most as he had a deep connection with one of the greatest characters from Naruto.
Most bits of informed about Koji Kashin remain a mystery. However, thanks to the way the recent events unfolded, fans now have a bit more insight on his character.
10 He Made His Debut At Different Times In The Anime And The Manga
Kashin Koji is one of the many characters whose appearance in the anime and the manga took place at different times. In the manga, he appeared after the Momoshiki arc wrapped up, in Chapter 15 to be precise. In the anime, Kashin Koji appears in Episode 53. However, this episode just provides a small glimpse of his face. It isn't until much later that he actually makes his debut.
9 He Bears The Roman Numeral II Of The Kara On His Eyes
Every member of the Kara has a Roman numeral assigned to them, for unknown reasons. The leader of the group, Jigen, had the Roman numeral IV on his cheek, while his vessel, Kawaki, had IX on his cheek. Kashin Koji bore the Roman numeral II on his face, starting from the corner of his eyes and extending downwards. What significance these marks carry, if any, is still up in the air.
8 He Was Created By The Genius Scientist Of Kara Named Amado
Kashin Koji is an artificially created human being, unlike other member of Kara. While all the others are actual humans whose bodies were enhanced by scientific technology, Amado created Kashin Koji from scratch using the DNA of a very powerful character. Thus, Koji's body can adapt to even the worse situations and handle a fight against even the strongest of characters.
7 He Is A Clone Of One Of The Legendary Sannin, Jiraiya
Much of Koji's past remained under the curtains for the Boruto manga, but his fight against Jigen shed some light on it. It was revealed that Koji was actually created from the DNA of Jiraiya and was his clone.
This explained how Koji entered and left Konohagakure without anyone being able to detect him and why his Jutsu were so similar to those of Jiraiya.
6 He Is Much Stronger Than Jiraiya Despite Being A Clone
Kashin Koji was made from Jiraiya's DNA, however, hid body was modified by Amado and made much better than what the original had. Everything about Kashin Koji is better than Jiraiya. This was first seen when he fought against Jigen and overwhelmed him in battle and also managed to fight against Isshiki Otsutsuki to some extent.
5 He Is A Sage Mode Of Mount Myoboku User Just Like Naruto And Jiraiya
Koji Kashin is an incredibly powerful character as he his, but when push comes to shove, he can get stronger by entering the Sage Mode of Mount Myoboku. Koji was seen using Sage Mode against Isshiki Otsutsuki and surprisingly, this ability allowed him to put up a fight against the latter for quite a while before finally being beaten.
4 Koji Has Managed To Mix The Natural Chakra With His Own Perfectly And Attained Perfect Sage Mode
Jiraiya was a user of the Sage Mode just like his clone Koji. A big difference between the two, however, is that while Jiraiya's Sage Mode was imperfect, Koji has managed to perfect the usage of his.
Jiraiya couldn't mix the natural chakra perfectly with his own and he hardly ever utilized it because he didn't like the form. Koji's Sage Mode is perfect and thus much better than that of his source.
3 His Nature Types Are Fire And Earth Release, But He's Capable Of Using Others Too
Koji has shown the ability to use ninjutsu, just like his genetic template, Jiraiya. He's shown great skill with Fire Release and more than decent hold over Earth Release as well. Interestingly, Koji likely has the ability to use Wind and Water Release as well. Koji should be able to do everything that Jiraiya was capable of doing.
2 He Can Use A Heightened Form Of Fire Release Ninjutsu Called Trance Of True Flames
Perhaps Koji's strongest ability lies in his usage of Fire Release ninjutsu and his strongest technique is called Trance of True Flames, or Zanmai no Shinka. This technique is extremely powerful and upon contact with the user, continues to burn until they die. No wind or rain can put out these flames, making them inextinguishable to quite an extent. What's more, they're so powerful that even the advanced regeneration abilities of the Kara members can't keep up.
1 He Is A User Of Space-time Ninjutsu Unlike His Genetic Template
Koji can utilize the powers of a yet unnamed space-time ninjutsu, as seen when he was able to enter and leave the dimension of the Ten-Tails without any trouble whatsoever. Furthermore, he can use a version of this power to summon eternally burning flames from the Flaming Mountains as well. Jiraiya, on the other hand, had little to no skill with space-time ninjutsu.
