"I want to thank everyone for the prayers and text. Brian most likely suffered a heart attack late Thursday night after returning from Orlando. He has had test run and we’re currently waiting for the results," Tracy wrote. "He has also seen a kidney specialist and will have a stress test done. He’s always been on bp meds for high bp. Just please pray all the test come back for something we can fix."

Tracy posted again a short time later, saying the kidneys came back clear and they are waiting for further tests on Monday to figure out what they will do next.

Later on Saturday evening, James' brother Scott Armstrong posted to Twitter that his brother was resting in the hospital.

"THANK YOU for all the well wishes, positive vibes and prayers for my brother Brain," Scott wrote. "Tonight he’s in the hospital resting comfortably and Monday will undergo tests on his heart. Thank you again!"

Brian James is part of the legendary Armstrong wrestling family. His father was Bob Armstrong (real name Joseph James), a wrestling legend from Georgia who wrestled for five decades. Brian and his three brothers all followed their dad's footsteps and became wrestlers, working in WCW, WWE, and southeastern territories. Brian became a star when he changed his name to Road Dogg and joined Degeneration X. In 2019, DX entered the WWE Hall of Fame. Since retiring from wrestling, James has worked as a writer and backstage producer for WWE and NXT.
