10 Justice League Members Who Would Be Better On The Avengers

Being an Avenger isn’t an easy undertaking. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to get to the level to even be considered an Avenger. To remain on the team, a hero might consistently prove themselves to be both superheroic and willing to avenge the Earth as needed.

While the group is a bit more reactive, the Justice League tends to be a bit more on the proactive side. However, there are actually quite a few members of the Justice League that would obviously work well with a team like the Avengers. In fact, there are several Justice League members who would actually be better on the Avengers, if given the chance.

10 Batman Would Have Other Humans To Work With

One of the most glaring differences between Batman and most of the other members of the Justice League is the fact that Batman is a human. While Batman is a valuable member of the Justice League, and often their leader, he is always going to be a human —and thus, can be hurt much more easily than any other teammate.

If Batman were an Avenger, he wouldn’t be any more or less breakable than a majority of the other Avengers. It might just balance him out more and make him feel less of a need to overcompensate.

9 The Flash Could Work With Mutants As A Metahuman

The Flash would probably feel right at home amongst the Avengers. Many of his teammates would be similar to him —that is, they have abilities that distinguish them from humans in their universe.

If the Flash got a chance to work with mutants, it’s likely he would find himself fitting right in. Even if the Flash could team up with a mutant Avenger like Quicksilver, the team swap would be worth it.

8 Martian Manhunter Wouldn’t Be One Of Few Aliens

A great deal of the members of the Justice League are advanced humans. They are typically human (or humanoid) and enhanced in some way. Martian Manhunter is one of few League members, alongside other characters like Superman, who are actually just aliens from another planet.

This may be lonely, but this would not be quite so solitary on the Avengers. There are many celestial heroes on that team that Martian Manhunter may feel more at home with.

7 The Green Lantern Has Villains The Avengers Would Be Well Equipped For

Villains like Doctor Doom and Sinestro are often compared, and not without reason. While both the Green Lantern and the Fantastic Four have not had any recent appearances in their respective franchises, both of them have rich histories that would go well with the Avengers.

The Fantastic Four are about to join the MCU, but, unfortunately, the Green Lantern has not yet gotten such an opportunity. If he were allowed to join the Avengers, he would get more space —and maybe even better help— taking down his bad guys.

6 Shazam’s Unique Disposition Would Fit In With The Avengers

The Justice League is a great team; unfortunately, in the DCEU, they’ve recently become a grimmer team than usual. Their general theme is dark, and characters like Shazam are no longer quite as comfortable as they once were.

For a character like Shazam, a team like the Avengers might be a better fit. They’re generally friendly and get along like pals, and Shazam would thrive in that environment. There are also young teens on the Avengers team, like Spider-Man, for Shazam to befriend.

5 Cyborg Would Be At Home With All The Technology

Batman and Cyborg are two of the only people bringing in any meaningful advancements in Earth-bound technology to the Justice League, at most points. However, there are actually quite a few members of the Avengers who are tech-savvy.

Even to the degree that Cyborg is adept with technology, there are Avengers who meet him —and may even surpass him. Characters like Vision would be perfect teammates for Cyborg, and would likely help him thrive on the Avengers team.

4 Black Canary May Need A Bit More Space Than The JLA Can Offer

Right now, there is truly a lot going on for the Justice League. There is not a lot of space for other characters that aren’t the main heroes, and especially not enough space for anti-heroes like Black Canary.

However, she is a valuable hero and a popular character. If she went to the Avengers, she might just get the space and the authority that she deserves. There, Black Canary would be able to thrive as a person as well as a hero.

3 Aquaman Would Be A Good Fit Anywhere

No matter where Aquaman goes, he’s going to be an invaluable teammate. His water-based abilities mean that no matter where he is, he’s going to provide unique skills. In addition, Aquaman’s personality makes him a great teammate, as well as a natural leader.

Even if there’s a mission that has nothing to do with water, Aquaman’s abilities have helpful side-effect powers, such as super strength. In any scenario, Aquaman would be the ideal teammate to have —the Avengers would count themselves lucky to have him.

2 Nightwing Could Make Real Changes On An All-New Team

While Nightwing goes between teams, and Dick is sometimes Robin on the Teen Titans, Nightwing is still a solid member of the Justice League. However, like a few other light-hearted heroes, he may struggle at times with the weight of being a Justice League member.

Being an Avenger might just be a better fit for Nightwing. He could have all the space he wanted, he could go where he pleased, and he could come out from under Batman’s wing as his own true hero. On the Avengers, Nightwing could really make some changes happen.

1 Superman Would Lead The Avengers To Success

Over time, Superman has been both helped and hindered by his reputation. People often refer to him as the “Boy Scout” because that’s how they see him. However, Superman is an incredible superhero who is more than capable of doing what needs to be done and making the hard decisions, when it comes right down to it.

If Superman could escape his symbolism for a while and operate purely as a superhero, he’d probably do a lot of good. It’s likely that he’d even end up leading the Avengers to success.
