While playing through Assassin's Creed, players are sure to rack up impressive kill counts. The assassins hunt down their targets, trying their best to only kill the target. Meanwhile, the Templars will do whatever is necessary to complete their task, including putting citizens in harm's way. Players have the ability to play as both factions, killing many targets across the games.

While the protagonists are able to kill guards and even civilians, it is known for sure how many targets were killed. Players will be surprised to learn which characters killed the most and which ones had the least amount of kills.

16 Desmond Miles Is On The Lower End Of The Spectrum With Only 3 kills

The protagonist with the least amount of kills in the series is Desmond Miles. With three kills to his name, it is understandable why he is the lowest. Desmond spends most of his time in the animus, only leaving to rescue the Apple and his father.

Desmond kills Lucy Stillman, Daniel Cross, and Warren Vidic throughout the series. It could also be argued he has the most kills- if players count his actions inside the animus.

15 Lydia Frye Stays Discrete With Only 4 Kills

Lydia Frye was an assassin during World War I, helping the war effort from England. She is tasked with hunting down spies throughout London, often having to sneak past allied soldiers.

Winston Churchill is the one who gives Lydia these missions, asking her to be stealthy and not cause a panic in the city. Lydia does her country proud, eliminating the master spy. Uniquely enough, the master spy is also a Sage.

14 Shao Jun Avenges The Brotherhood With 5 Kills

Shao Jun is playable in Assassin's Creed Chronicles: ChinaJun returns to China to take revenge on the individuals who destroyed the Assassin Brotherhood in the country. This quest gives Jun an official kill count of five.

Impressively, Jun assassinates the Jaijing emperor. This avenges the assassins from the brotherhood while also bringing her revenge to an end. Her assassination methods were also used far into the future, showing how influential she was.

13 Aya of Alexandria Has 5 High-Profile Kills To Her Name

Aya, later going by the name Amunet, became the co-founder of the Assassin Brotherhood. She might have only five kills to her name, but the targets were high-profile individuals. Aya's targets include Cleopatra and Julius Caesar.

These kills have also lead to her being considered one of the best assassins. A statue of her can be found in Ezio's villa, as well as a tomb dedicated to her under a church in Venice, Italy.

12 Jacob Frye Kept The Templars From Acquiring The Shroud of Eden With 7 Kills

Jacob Frye was an assassin in 1868 England. While Jacob took a majority of the kills in 1868, his twin sister went for all of the targets in 1888. This is due to Jacob being kidnapped by his former apprentice.

It should also be noted that Jacob is the grandfather of Lydia Frye. With his actions, Jacob and the assassins were able to keep the Templars from acquiring the Shroud of Eden. They also stopped the assassination of Queen Victoria, causing the twins to be knighted.

11 Shay Cormac Has 7 Kills Under His Belt

Shay Cormac was an Assassin, but defected to the enemies after an earthquake caused by the assassins. The group knew acquiring the Piece of Eden would cause destruction, with the earthquake destroying Lisbon and killing thousands. Shay quickly started hunting down his former friends.

Shay weakened the Colonial Brotherhood, letting Templars control the American Colonies. As well as that, Shay also played a hand in the French Revolution.

10 Haytham Kenway Breaks Into The Double Digits With 12 Kills

Haytham, much like Shay, was an assassin that became a Templar. Haytham traveled to the American Colonies and became the Grand Master of the Colonial Templars. While none of his kills were of high-profile individuals, the kills furthered his goals.

One target was even the person who turned him into a Templar. Haytham discovered that Reginald Birch was responsible for his father's death. Haytham teamed up with his half-sister and avenged his father.

9 Evie Frye Ended Jack The Ripper With One Of Her 14 Kills

Evie is the twin sister of Jacob Frye, rebuilding the assassin brotherhood in England. While she might not have killed many targets in 1868, she went on to finding her brother and killing all targets in 1888. One target that really stands out is Jack the Ripper.

Evie decided she didn't want the truth about him to ever come out, so she hid his body and told no one where it is located. Just to think, she ended Jack the Ripper's reign throughout London.

8 Ratonhnhaké:ton Has An Impressive 15 Kills To Their Name

Speaking of Haytham, Ratonhnhaké:ton – also known as Connor – was his son. Connor was known to a Native American mother and had his village burned down during the French and Indian War. Because of this, Connor went on to fight in the American Revolution and kill British Templars.

One target stands out, as it was Connor's father. During a fight, Connor had no choice but to stab his father. Connor also experienced an alternate reality, where he was forced to fight against George Washington and other former friends.

7 Aveline de Grandpré Has 15 Kills Under Her Belt

Aveline was born in New Orleans and watched it switch hands many times. During this time, she lived a double life. She was the daughter of a respected merchant, while also hunting down Templars. She did this to keep New Orleans out of Templar control while also trying to end the slave trade.

Targets include important politicians to New Orleans. Aveline also assassinated her stepmother after learning she was the Grand Master.

6 Edward Kenway Was Able To Complete 26 Kills Before His Own Death

Edward Kenway started out as a pirate, accidentally joining the Assassin Brotherhood. He first hunted down targets to become rich but quickly embraced the brotherhood.

Edward met many notable pirates on his journey before returning to London with his daughter. Sadly, he was killed while defending his family from an attack.

5 Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad Accomplished 31 Kills During Their Time

Altair was the first assassin of the series, being alive during the Crusades into Israel. He was stripped of his rank, having to prove himself by hunting 9 targets. After completing this, he discovered the Master Assassin was a traitor and saved the brotherhood.

Altair went on many journeys to find Pieces of Eden, bringing his kill count to an impressive number.

4 Arno Dorian Has 34 Kills To Their Name

Arno Dorian became an assassin during the French Revolution. When his adoptive father was killed, Arno went on a mission of revenge to find out who did it.

While on this mission, he also tried to keep Templars from gaining control of France. Arno rose to the rank of Master Assassin, but not before he lost everyone he held dear.

3 Bayek of Siwa Has An Impressive 50 Kills Under Their Belt

Bayak was the last Medjay of Egypt while also becoming a co-founder of the Assassin Brotherhood. He carried out his assassinations to avenge his son's killing, soon discovering a secret cult. When Bayak learned the cult was more powerful than he first believed, he and his wife formed the Hidden Ones.

The Hidden Ones were a precursor to the Assassin Brotherhood, working to stop evil in the world.

2 Ezio Auditore da Firenze Completed 68 Kills

Ezio Auditore is an iconic character in the series, appearing in three different games. With this in mind, it should be no surprise he has an impressive amount of kills. He first started hunting targets to avenge his father and brothers, who were killed as part of a plot.

After learning more about the Assassin Brotherhood, Ezio worked to free the other Italian city-states and Constantinople from Templar rule. Ezio achieved these goals, eventually retiring in Florence with his wife and children.

1 Kassandra Has A Record Of 94 Kills

Kassandra was a mercenary from Greece, operating during the Peloponnesian War. With how open the world of Assassin's Creed Odyssey is, there are many side missions and objectives players can complete. As well as killing off other mercenaries, it is no surprise Kassandra has such a high kill count.

It is worth noting that Kassandra is also the longest-living assassin. She is given the Staff of Hermes Trismegistus, a Piece of Eden that allows immortality. She finally dies in 2018 after giving the staff to Layla Hasan.
