The highly-anticipated video game LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has announced another release date delay.
"Thanks to all our fans for your continued patience," The Skywalker Saga developer TT Games said on Twitter. The tweet also contained a picture of a statement saying, "All of us at TT Games are working hard to make LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga the biggest and best-ever LEGO game - but we're going to need more time to do it. We won't be able to make our intended Spring release date, but will provide updated launch timing as soon as possible."
First announced in June 2019, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was initially announced with a 2020 release timeframe before getting a more specific October 20, 2020 date. Afterward, it was announced that the project would be receiving a delay to Spring 2021. This was the date it occupied prior to its most recent postponement.
The LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga video game that encompasses all nine of the Skywalker Saga films. Though several of these films have already received LEGO video game adaptations, this new title will not just be providing remastered versions of those older games. Instead, The Skywalker Saga is delivering entirely new takes on classic films like A New Hope thanks to elements like unique gameplay, more interactive worlds and countless new playable characters.
Developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga arrives on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and PC on an unknown release date.
