Naruto: 10 Ways Kaguya Could've Made A Big Impact | CBR

Kaguya Otsutsuki was the first Otsutsuki villain to be introduced in the Naruto world and also the main antagonist of the entire story. Making her debut in the Fourth Great Ninja War, Kaguya fought against the likes of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, but despite being the strongest, she ended up losing to them and got sealed away.

It goes without saying that despite all her strength, the impact that Kaguya Otsutsuki had on the Naruto story was certainly not one that fans would expect from the last villain of the story. However, if handled better, Kaguya could've made her presence known among the fans.

10 She Could've Been Introduced In The Story Earlier

Kaguya Otsutsuki was introduced in the story toward its very end and was suddenly made the main antagonist who everyone needed to keep an eye out for. Although Kaguya was powerful, her character lacked personality and didn't have any sort of presence that other villains did. Had Kaguya, as a villain, been built up for a long time in the story, she would've been much more of a menace.

9 She Could've Been A Movie Villain Instead Of Appearing In Naruto Shippuden

Masashi Kishimoto decided to make Kaguya Otsutsuki the last villain of the Naruto series, a decision that many fans don't understand to this day. Instead of throwing in an entirely new villain in a war that already had great antagonists, Kishimoto could've done a good job by teasing Kaguya's appearance toward the end of the war.

Follow this, Kaguya could've been the main antagonist for a canon Naruto movie of her own, making her a much better villain and fleshing out her character more in that time.

8 She Could've Been More Threatening Than What She Appeared To Be

Although Kaguya was known to be a threat greater than Madara Uchiha and someone much stronger than him, she didn't live up to that hype at all. Kaguya's portrayal as the final villain of Naruto was rather weak and her character didn't help her out at all.

Had she been a bit more threatening, that would certainly have helped fans see her character better in more ways than one.

7 She Could've Had Better Motivations

Kaguya was made the main villain after Madara Uchiha activated the Infinite Tsukuyomi. It was later revealed that Kaguya wanted to turn everyone into White Zetsu, take back the chakra that rightfully belonged to her, and then rule the world.

Later, it was also revealed that Kaguya needed the Zetsu army to fight against the Otsutsuki Clan. While decent, her motivations were nothing special and hardly good enough to excite the fans.

6 She Could've Made Better Use Of Her Abilities

Known as the Rabbit Goddess, Kaguya was easily the strongest character in the entire Naruto world. She had the power of a stronger Byakugan, a Rinne-Sharingan, along with other Kekkei Mora techniques that she gained along the way.

Despite everything, Kaguya didn't make good use of her powers and found herself on the back foot against Team 7 on a number of occasions.

5 She Shouldn't Have Listened To Black Zetsu In The Fourth Great Ninja War

Kaguya's revival was a plan of Black Zetsu who was revealed to be the man behind everything from the very start. As Kaguya's will incarnate, Zetsu often told her what to do and how to handle certain clashes against Naruto and Sasuke.

Eventually, this led to too much of her chakra getting wasted and she became quite an easier target to take down for Naruto and Sasuke.

4 She Shouldn't Have Messed With Madara's Legacy

Kaguya could've appeared in the Naruto story later but for some reason, Kishimoto chose to sacrifice Madara Uchiha for the sake of bringing her into the story. In doing so, Kishimoto completely destroyed the hype that Madara Uchiha had built over the years.

While there is no denying that Kaguya was indeed strong and a capable fighter, she didn't live up to the standards that Madara had set, frustrating the fans even more.

3 She Could've Showed The True Power Of The Byakugan

Kaguya was a user of the Byakugan, much like most members of the Otsutsuki Clan. After eating the Chakra Fruit, her powers became even greater but Kaguya showed no special eye power despite possibly being its strongest user.

Her techniques were simply written to be dominant and strong moves that could kill anyone. She would've made a better impact had Kishimoto focused more on her ties to the Hyuga Dojutsu and shown the power of the Byakugan.

2 She Could've Killed More Characters

Although Kaguya Otsutsuki enslaved everyone and trapped them in Infinite Tsukuyomi, she barely killed anyone. Much of this is down to the fact that everyone was already in the genjutsu by this point, but out of those who remained, only Obito Uchiha ended up dying.

Had Kaguya taken out a few more characters during her time as a villain, she would've made a better impact for sure.

1 She Could've Pushed Naruto & Sasuke To Their Limit

Being the strongest of all Naruto villains, fans at least expected Kaguya Otsutsuki to put up a great fight against Naruto and Sasuke and push them to the brink of their limits.

Surprisingly, Kaguya failed to do any of that. In fact, she was the one to tire first and was consequently sealed away. Both Naruto and Sasuke had ample power left to fight for another day at the Valley of the End, showing how lackluster a display Kaguya put in front of the fans.
