Naruto: 5 Ways Sarada Is Better Than Sasuke (& 5 She's Not) | CBR

Sasuke was one of the more polarizing characters of the original Naruto series. Some people liked him because he was so single-minded in his goal, never letting anything stand in the way of being an avenger for the Uchiha family. Others found him annoying because he turned his back on his friends and everyone who cared for him, constantly attacking people who only wanted to help.

His daughter, Sarada, is nowhere near as controversial. Armed with super-strength and one of the purest smiles in anime, Sarada Uchiha is one of the latest genin from the Ninja Academy. She's also got goals of her own —set on becoming the next Hokage after being inspired by Naruto to look after the village. Though Sarada has a long way to go, she's already finding ways to surpass her parents.

10 She's Not: Sarada Isn't Anywhere close to having the same chakra levels Sasuke does

Sarada simply doesn’t have quite the same chakra reserves as her father. Even if he were younger, there’s a good chance Sarada wouldn’t have anywhere near the chakra of Sasuke.

This is because Sasuke was exposed to the Curse Seal by Orochimaru early on in the series, which gave Sasuke a vast increase in chakra —he even had enough to battle Naruto when he’d managed to unlock his One-Tailed form.

9 She's Better: Sarada Has Been Loyal To Konoha From The Very Beginning

Sasuke sold out the rest of the Konoha Village for good reason after discovering the truth about the Uchiha and how they were treated by the rest of the city.

He also did his friends in Team 7 dirty, and even got repeatedly hostile when they only wanted to show they cared about him. This is the reason for a lot of the negative sentiment towards Sasuke in the original series.

8 She's Not: Sarada Is Often Too Willing To Follow Authority Over Her Conscience

While Sasuke did have a lot of negative aspects to him because of his preference to work on his own, this also meant that he was able to be more independent.

Sarada will often hesitate because she wants to do what’s optimal for her to become the Hokage, and will prioritize listening to others over following what she believes is right. Meanwhile, Sasuke doesn’t care what someone has told him to do, and simply chases what he’s looking for the most at any given moment.

7 She's Better: Sarada Doesn't Try To Avoid Working With Her Team

Sasuke is a loner from the very beginning, even when Kakashi stresses the importance of helping and working alongside one’s comrades and allies.

He gains his own group later in the series and still barely wants to work with them. Comparatively, Sarada isn’t just a team player, but the entire team works off her keeping them focused and making sure their minds remain on the same goal.

6 She's Not: Her Sharingan Isn't As Advanced

Though Sarada has managed to develop her Sharingan quite well, she’s only managed to get up to three tomoe in her eyes. What she hasn’t managed to do is upgrade the Sharingan into the Mangekyou Sharingan.

This is logical, as she hasn’t experienced the same issues that Sasuke did which led to him developing his technique. Sasuke also managed to get Mangekyou Sharingan that would never fade, placing him at a higher tier than even the most advanced Uchiha.

5 She's Better: Much Like Her Mother, Sarada Has Super-Strength Thanks To Her Training

Something else that Sarada picked up from her mother is Sakura’s incredible super-strength, developed to make her a more deadly ninja. Despite her age, Sarada is perfectly capable of punching through large rock structures and tossing heavy objects at her opponents.

This makes her capable of switching from ninjutsu to straight-up combat and it makes it difficult for her opponents to actually keep up with her because she overpowers most opponents she’s going up against.

4 She's Not: Sasuke Possesses The Rinnegan Thanks To His Adventures In The Past

This is kind of unfair, yet again. Sasuke has had adventures that Sarada hasn’t, and it’s led to him having access to a number of powers that few have even seen, let alone gained access to.

Because Sasuke had half of Hagoromo Otsusuki’s chakra, he had one of his Sharingan turn into a Rinnegan. This is an ability that allows Sasuke to access Space-Time Jutsu and essentially teleport whenever he wants.

3 She's Better: Sarada Is A Talented Medical-Ninja

Picking this skill up from her mother makes Sarada one of the most dangerous of the newer ninja coming up. Thanks to her incredible control over her chakra reserves, Sarada has the ability to use medical ninjutsu.

This means she’s capable of healing people in combat, which combines with her offensive capabilities to make a true threat. Sasuke was far too concerned with getting his revenge to ever learn something along these lines.

2 She's Not: Sasuke Has Mastered Fire Jutsu With Techniques Like Amaterasu

The Uchiha family is known for being able to access fire-style Jutsu. Sasuke is the undisputed master of these jutsu, as he finally gains one that isn’t something people can just ignore.

While Sarada is still relying on simple fireballs, Sasuke has evolved to master Amaterasu, which can burn anything with black flames. Only a handful of things can manage to stop or slow the flames of Amaterasu, like Naruto’s chakra cloak. Meanwhile, the other Uchiha techniques are frequently ignored.

1 She's Better: Taking After Her Mother, Sarada Is A Smarter Ninja

Sasuke was always smart, but he was also never as smart as his wife. During the Chunin Exams, Sakura simply knew all the answers to the test while Sasuke needed to use the Sharingan to copy someone else’s movements and get the answers.

In that respect, Sarada is much more like her mom than her dad. She spends all her time studying and trying to become a better ninja, which means she’s not merely learning ninjutsu but academic stuff as well.
