One Piece: Every Swordsman Roronoa Zoro Has Defeated, Ranked By Power Level

Roronoa Zoro is the combatant of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the strongest characters in the One Piece world. Intending to defeat Dracule Mihawk, the strongest swordsman in the entire world, Zoro aims to rise to the very top and be proclaimed as the greatest to wield the blade.

Over the years, Zoro has been in some incredible swordfights and while he's lost some, he has defeated most of the those who he faced, inching closer to the level of Mihawk with each victory.

9 Zoro Fought Hachi In The Arlong Park Arc & Won Without Any Trouble

Hachi was the second-best swordsman of Fishman Island who ended up following Arlong to East Blue. After the Straw Hat Pirates decided to fight the Arlong Pirates, Zoro took on Hachi in battle.

Despite his severe injuries, Zoro managed to hold his own against Hachi and ultimately overcame his six-sword style in battle, making himself slightly stronger in the process.

8 Zoro Fought Tashigi In Logue Town & Easily Outclassed Her

Zoro and Tashigi came face-to-face for the first time during the Logue Town arc of One Piece. As the Straw Hats prepared to leave the island, Tashigi stood in Zoro's path and challenged him to a duel.

Unsurprisingly, Zoro's level of skill was far superior to hers and he ended up outclassing her within a matter of minutes. Since then, Tashigi has worked to hone her skills and become quite strong.

7 Zoro Clashed With T-Bone On The Way To Enies Lobby & Managed To One-Shot Him In Battle

Marine Captain T-Bone was quite a menacing challenge for Roronoa Zoro as there was no time for a proper battle on the way to Enies Lobby. Zoro needed to take care of him within seconds and he stepped up to that challenge in quite an incredible fashion.

Zoro's fight against T-Bone ended with Zoro slicing through his sword and helping the Sea Train reach Enies Lobby.

6 Ohm Was One Of Enel's Strongest Priests & A User Of Strong Observation Haki

One of Enel's four strongest underlings, Ohm controlled the ordeal of strings and was an incredibly powerful foe for Zoro to face. With the help of his Observation Haki, defeating him in combat was extremely difficult and required great skill.

Once again, this fight forced Zoro to get stronger in the midst of battle and made him tap into the power of flying slashes. Having gained new techniques, Zoro managed to overpower Ohm and opened a way to Enel.

5 Zoro Was Pushed To The Extreme In His Fight Against The Baroque Works' Mr. 1

The Alabasta arc saw the Straw Hat Pirates take on the criminal organization led by Crocodile known as Baroque Works. Zoro fought against the strongest of Crocodile's underlings in Mr. 1, and surprisingly, failed to beat him with the level of strength he possessed at the time.

Zoro was forced to grow stronger in the heat of battle and learn the power of cutting steel. It is also possible that Zoro managed to tap into a basic form of Haki in this fight and thus managed to cut Mr. 1.

4 The Fight Against Ryuma Was Short But Difficult For Zoro To Win Due To Brook's Fighting Style

Zoro fought the Zombie of the legendary samurai known as Shimotsuki Ryuma back in the Thriller Bark arc of One Piece. After Brook failed to defeat him and retrieve his shadow, Zoro decided to do the job for him and engaged him in combat.

The two fought a high-level battle where it all came down to one clash. Thankfully, Zoro managed to power through with his Hiryu Kaen and defeated Ryuma, obtaining the Kokuto Shusui in the process.

3 Kaku Is One Of The Strongest Characters Beaten By Zoro In The Story So Far

The second-strongest member of the CP-9 organization, Kaku was destined to fight against Roronoa Zoro while Luffy handled the strongest member of the group in Rob Lucci. Zoro's fight against Kaku was quite an intense one and with the power of his Giraffe Zoan, Kaku proved to be quite problematic for the Straw Hat swordsman to deal with.

As expected, Zoro, once again, forced himself to grow in the midst of battle and awakened the power of Asura to deal the final blow to Kaku and win the fight.

2 Zoro Easily Defeated Hyouzou In The Fishman Island Arc

Hyouzou was the strongest swordsman to live on Fishman Island and was inevitably going to clash with Roronoa Zoro when the Straw Hat Pirates arrived there. In the final stages of the arc, Zoro fought against Hyouzou and unsurprisingly proved to be much stronger than him.

Zoro ended the fight without receiving even a single wound and claimed that Hyouzou wasn't even strong enough to kill his boredom.

1 Zoro Crushed Pica, One Of The Executives Of Doflamingo, To Showcase His Haki Upgrade

Although not a proper swordsman, Pica was quite a dangerous opponent for Zoro to face, and much of it was down to his Devil Fruit, the Ishi Ishi no Mi.

Despite Pica's Armament Haki, taking on Zoro in battle was a difficult task as the latter was better in every aspect of combat. Zoro crushed Pica and displayed his usage of Armament Haki to the fans for the first time.
