REPORT: TMNT Reboot's Character Descriptions Reveal Their Biggest Fears

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have had many different incarnations over the years, but their personalities have more or less remained the same. That is set to change with the latest animated reboot from Nickelodeon and Paramount.

Character descriptions for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot were posted by The Illuminerdi, going into detail on each Turtle. The characters are said to be between 13-16 years old, with casting open to voice actors of any ethnicity.

Leonardo is described as "strictly business, all killer no filler," and fears that he needs his brothers more than they need him. Raphael is described as a "hot head," whose anger issues stem from the fact that he feels he should lead the Turtles -- and deep down is scared he won't measure up to the task. Michelangelo is "endlessly curious" and a "goofball," who resents his brothers' teasing. Finally, Donatello is compared to Matt Damon from Good Will Hunting, who simultaneously feels his intelligence should be appreciated more and fears that he isn't as smart as he thinks he is.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg will produce the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot under their Point Grey banner, alongside Jeff Weaver. "Adding Seth, Evan and James’ genius to the humor and action that’s already an integral part of TMNT is going to make this a next-level reinvention of the property," said President of Kids & Family for ViacomCBS Brian Robbins. "I’m looking forward to see what they do, and I know that Ramsey Naito and her team are excited to take the Nick Animation Studio into another great direction with their first-ever CG-animated theatrical."

Directed by Jeff Rowe from a script by Brendan O'Brian, the yet-to-be-titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie has yet to receive a release date.
