Batman Begins, The Dark Knight Leaving Netflix for Hulu (Again)

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, the first two films in director Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, are leaving Netflix for Hulu -- again.

2005's Batman Begins and 2008's The Dark Knight are among the films slated to leave Netflix at the end of this month. They will then be added to Hulu on Tuesday, June 1. Despite leaving Netflix for Hulu, however, both films are currently excepted to stay put on HBO Max. At this time, HBO Max is also the only place to stream 2012's The Dark Knight Rises, the third and final film in Nolan's trilogy.

As far as streaming services go, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight have certainly been all over the place over the course of the last year or so. The two films were on Netflix as of March of 2020, but jumped ship to Hulu the following May. They then left Hulu for HBO Max in August. Batman Begins and The Dark Knight briefly left HBO Max for Peacock in December, before leaving Peacock and returning to HBO Max in January.

Nolan's first two Batman films were re-added to Netflix in March of this year, though remained on HBO Max, and currently stream on both platforms concurrently. Soon, however, it will apparently be HBO Max and Hulu sharing the films, with Netflix falling by the wayside. Still, HBO Max remains the only place to stream the entirety of the Dark Knight trilogy, as The Dark Knight Rises finally made its way to HBO Max this past April after previously having no streaming presence to speak of.
