Bebe Neuwirth Is Wrestler Andrea the Giant in Stop-Motion Drama Ultra City Smiths

Fans got a sneak peek at the character voiced by Broadway star Bebe Neuwirth in the upcoming stop-motion animated series Ultra City Smiths.

A photo shared by Entertainment Weekly shows a Luchadora wrestler by the name of Space Bitch flying through the air toward Neuwirth's character Lady Andrea the Giant, who is lying on the ground inside the ring.

Originally announced as Mega City Smiths, Ultra City Smiths is a stop-motion animated series that finds baby dolls being repurposed as a grown-up cast of characters. According to an official synopsis, the series follows an investigation into the disappearance of Ultra City’s most famous magnate.

Leading the investigation is a pair of intrepid detectives named David Mills and Gail Johnson, who fight against their city's dangerous corruption while risking their own lives and the lives of their families. Neuwirth's Lady Andrea the Giant is reportedly among the top suspects in the disappearance.

In addition to creating the series, Conrad will serve as showrunner for the project. Meanwhile, Stoopid Buddy Stoodios' Seth Green, John Harvatine IV, Matthew Senreich, Eric Towner and Chris Waters will serve as executive producers along with Jennifer Scher, Jeff Dieter and Thomas J. Glynn.

Created by Steve Conrad, Ultra City Smiths stars Jimmi Simpson as Detective David Mills, Da’Vine Joy Randolph as Detective Gail Johnson, John C. Reilly as Donovan Smith, Bebe Neuwirth as Lady Andrea The Giant, Jason Mantzoukas as Tim the TMZ reporter, Damon Herriman as Street Hustler Boy, Melissa VillaseƱor as Sister Mary Margaret, Kurtwood Smith as Carpenter K. Smith, Tim Heidecker as Mayor Kevin de Maximum, Chris Conrad as Nico Onasis and Hana Mae Lee as Christina. The series debuts on AMC on July 22.
