The CW has revealed the official synopsis for "The Book of Resurrection: Chapter Two: Closure," the 58th and final episode of its DC television series Black Lightning.
Back in November, Black Lightning Season 4 was confirmed to be the series' last. At the time of writing, the show's conclusion draws nigh, with only three episodes left to go. "The Book of Reunification: Chapter Two" airs this coming Monday, May 10, followed by "The Book of Resurrection: Chapter One" on May 17 and, finally, "The Book of Resurrection: Chapter Two: Closure" on May 24. That said, while the finale's title promises "closure," the synopsis simply reiterates that it is, in fact, the final episode, keeping details close to the vest.

“BLACK LIGHTNING” SERIES FINALE – After four seasons, the game-changing, relevant and electrifying series comes to an end. While Black Lightning is coming to an end, The CW is developing a Painkiller spinoff, with Jordan Calloway reprising the eponymous role. A backdoor pilot, simply titled "Painkiller," aired as the seventh episode of Black Lighting Season 4 on April 12. That being said, the network has yet to officially order Painkiller to series.
Black Lightning stars Cress Williams as Jefferson Pierce/Black Lightning, China Anne McClain as Jennifer Pierce, Nafessa Williams as Anissa Pierce/Thunder, Christine Adams as Lynn Stewart, Marvin "Krondon" Jones III as Tobias Whale and James Remar as Peter Gambi. New episodes air Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. The series finale airs May 24.
