New Pokémon Snap is a game that obviously doesn't put the player character in any sort of harm's way, but it doesn't mean that the player's presence isn't always welcomed by certain species of Pokémon. There are plenty of interactions that display this better than others, with some inadvertently becoming perfect poses for memorable snaps and photographs.

10 Clawitzer's Aggressive Behavior Actually Benefits The Player

At the start of the Lental Seafloor course in Maricopia, a Clawitzer swims past the player and unless they possess a keen eye for detail, they might miss what happens next. Clawitzer actually fires an attack that reveals a shortcut, leading to the deep sea cave section of the course that is otherwise inaccessible unless scanned and interacted with. This alternate route has plenty of new Pokémon species to photograph. The gloomy and mysterious luminescent environment of the ocean depths effectively makes it a different course. Many thanks are due to the Clawitzer for drawing attention to the most intriguing of shortcuts.

9 Rampardos Constantly Lashes About Without Dire Consequences

In the Pokémon games and the anime, Cranidos and Rampardos are notorious for their violent temperament and vicious head-oriented offense, as demonstrated by Roark in his game and anime Gym battles. In New Pokémon Snap, Rampardos are no different on the surface, with them acting erratically and hostile.

Found in Outaway Cave, Rampardos will continue to showcase their aggressive nature without doing any damage if provoked by the player or a Crobat (if circumstances allow for it). There is a situation that can arise where a Crobat will fly low and seemingly antagonize the Rampardos.

8 Houndoom Is An Angry Customer

With Houndoom being a dual Dark and Fire-type Pokémon, it can be of no surprise that Houndoom is overly aggressive towards the player with loud and persistent barking and roaring when approached during the Aurus course.

Snapping a photo of the angry Pokémon midway through its show of aggression will earn you at least a 2-star photo with the example above easily achieving over 4,000 points and a 3-star rating. Despite its terrifying nature, there is no denying that its physical presence and general demeanor make for good photography.

7 Lycanroc Standing Their Ground Is Captivating To Watch

As shown in the Sun & Moon anime, Lycanroc is a typically proud and aggressive Pokémon, no matter its form, whether it be midday, dusk, or midnight. The Sweltering Sands level on the island of Voluca offers plenty of interactions involving Lyncanroc, most notably being two midnight Lycanroc facing off and a midday Lycanroc antagonizing an angry Tyranitar before running off.

The Lycanroc's aggression shown between one another within their own species is less an actual escalation and more just a rivalry, providing an interesting insight into their usual behavior.

6 Sharpedo Truly Is The Bully Of The Sea

Being a part Dark-type, it is no wonder that Sharpedo are known to be aggressive. On the Maricopia Reef level, several Sharpedo are seen motoring about, either aimlessly or in one particular case, chasing a Squirtle, who swims for its life. There is a reason why it is known as the bully of the sea.

Despite the potentially distressing nature and intent of its aggression and persistently angry behavior, it does still allow for some exciting photo opportunities, with a good shot of the Sharpedo-Squirtle chase achieving at least 2 stars.

5 Heracross And Pinsir's Rivalry Makes For One Of The Best Photo Opportunities In The Entire Game

During the nighttime variant of the Florio Fields course, if the player successfully baits a Pinsir into surprising and knocking a Heracross down from a tree towards the start of the level, as the course nears its end, the NEO-ONE will encounter these two Bug Pokémon locking horns, literally.

While perfect photo opportunities are slightly more difficult for Heracross than they are for Pinsir, snapping evidence of the two fighting will reward the player with a 4-star photo, with the overall score depending on how close you could get to the action.

4 Pinsir's Aggression Is Clear For Everyone To See

In terms of its battle with Heracross during the nighttime Florio Fields course, Pinsir provides plenty of opportunities for perfect photos that capture the intensity of the two Bug-types' rivalry. On both the Florio and Sweltering Sands levels, Pinsir can be seen with its sharp and dangerous pincers pointing out from the ground. Disturbing or coming into contact with it will cause it to aggressively rise up and proceed to flex its chaotic nature. It is therefore a surprise that Pinsir doesn't pick any fights in the deserts of Voluca as it does with Heracross on Florio.

3 Tyranitar Is Either Having A Temper Tantrum Or It Just Doesn't Like Lycanroc

On the daytime variant of the Sweltering Sands course, there is an alternate route that the player can take towards the end that allows the NEO-ONE to pass by one very territorial Tyranitar. A midday Lycanroc jumps down from above and proceeds to face off against the Tyranitar before eventually running away.

This doesn't halt the Tyranitar's aggressive behavior, as it whips its tail and smashes a nearby rock in anger, seemingly because of the Lycanroc entering its personal space. Snapping the stand-off will earn 3 stars and getting a perfectly timed photo of the Tyranitar smashing the rock will earn 4 stars for capturing this memorable moment.

2 Mightyena Chasing A Furret Is Both Terrifying And Incredibly Entertaining

The nighttime variant of the Shiver Snowfields level on the island of Durice, brings with it a compelling story that spans half of the course. It follows the dogged pursuit of a small and evasive Furret by a pack of Mightyena, fully justifying their Dark-typing.

The Mightyena begin by acting aggressively towards the player and the NEO-ONE before giving chase to the tiny Normal-type ferret Pokémon, which consistently manages to give them the slip. Following the whole series of events presents several opportunities for photos that perfectly capture the essence of what is happening, be it the frantic chasing, or the Furret poking its head out from behind a rock.

1 Tyrantrum Is Truly The Angriest Of The Bunch

Found in Fireflow Volcano on Voluca Island, various Tyrantrum appear in different places throughout the course, but the theme is the same every time. They are angry and aggressive. There are two Tyrantrum that face off in a fierce battle towards the beginning of the course in front of the breathtaking backdrop of the Volcano, perfectly encapsulating the chaotic prehistoric nature of this environment.

If the player chooses to stick to the left-hand side of the course and not take the shortcut presented by scanning when entering the cave area, a Tyrantrum can be seen facing off against a Charizard that is perfectly content just flying around. Capturing a photo of this interaction will earn 4 stars, for recording this instance of Tyrantrum showing its aggression.
