Pauly Shore is ready to reunite with his Encino Man co-stars for a sequel on Disney+.
The actor posted a photo on Instagram of himself and Brendan Fraser from the set of the 1992 film. "FULL FRONTAL FRIDAY!!! 29 years ago this weekend, Encino Man hit the big screen," he captioned the post. "Here's a personal pic with myself and Brendan Fraser on the set."
Shore continued, "Peace Brendan, miss you. Hope you’re doing great in this crazy world. And you guys know what Brendan's peace sign means right? Encino Man 2 doooooooddzzzz."
The entertainer also encouraged his followers to "Hit up Disney+ and tell them myself, Brendan, and Sean are ready for the sequel." He ended the post with the message, "Have a great Memorial Day weekend everybody. We’ll be wiezen the juice."
Encino Man starred Sean Astin as a California teenager Dave Morgan whose life is turned upside down when he stumbles upon a caveman (Fraser) frozen in a block of ice. With help from his friend Stoney (Shore), Dave transports the Neanderthal to his garage where he thaws and is revived. Things get complicated in the wacky comedy film when the buddies try to pass their new caveman friend off as a foreign exchange student named Link.
Shore's post marks his second plea for Disney+ to consider an Encino Man sequel. In November 2020, Shore posted another behind-the-scenes photo from Encino Man featuring himself, Fraser and Sean Astin. He captioned the post, "Good o'l Encino Man, remember this classic? How many people want to see Encino Man 2?! Hit up Disney+ on social media and let them know Brendan, Sean, and myself are ready to go! Let's do this 2021."
While neither Fraser nor Astin shared their opinions about reuniting for an Encino Man sequel, Astin reunited with his co-stars from 1985's The Goonies for a virtual charity event last year. Fraser has previously shown interest in returning to The Mummy franchise, which skyrocketed him to fame in the early 2000s.
Directed by Les Mayfield, Encino Man stars Brendan Fraser, Pauly Shore, Sean Astin, Megan Ward, Robin Tunney and Michael DeLuise. The film is streaming now on Disney+.
