Syfy has revealed the official synopsis for its upcoming remake of the cult classic slasher film The Slumber Party Massacre, which is slated to premiere on the network later this year.
The premise of Syfy's Slumber Party Massacre appears to be very similar to that of the original, revolving around a slumber party that turns into a "bloodbath" when a "psychotic serial killer wielding a power drill disrupts the fun." That being said, the remake also promises to be a "contemporary twist-filled reimagining" of the original. Furthermore, while the film still lacks an official release date, Syfy assures it will arrive this fall, "just in time for Halloween."
