Sideshow Collectibles announced a limited edition 1/4 scale Star Wars collectible figure depicting the fan-favorite character Ahsoka Tano, as a tribute to her journey in Star Wars Rebels and Disney+'s The Mandalorian.
The Ahsoka Tano Premium Format Figure from Sideshow features a sculpted appearance somewhere between the animated and live-action versions of the character. The figure stands 19.5 inches tall and 14 inches wide, with the Togruta Jedi striking a battle stance with her iconic dual white lightsabers, and features a Malachor-themed base, meant to mimic the ruins of an ancient temple.
The Exclusive variant for the figure will include a sculpted proximity piece featuring Ahsoka's animal companion Morai, who will be perched on a complementing Malachor rubble base. The Morai figure is described as an exclusive accessory only available through Sideshow. The standard version will retail for $565, with the Exclusive variant going for $585.
The polystone premium figure is intended to "capture the energy and action of her animated presence in a three-dimensional statue format." The head sculpt shows her orange skin with distinct white facial markings, and her face is framed by her patterned montrals/head tails, painted in blue and white. Her costume features a bodysuit matching her Rebels outfit, with "sculpted skirts, belts, arm guards, shin guards, and detailed tan tassets at her hips."
Voiced by Ashley Eckstein, Ahsoka Tano made her debut in the 2008 animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars as the naive-but-driven Padawan learner of Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. She was also the focus of several arcs in the animated series of the same name before leaving the Jedi Order. Her next appearance was in Star Wars Rebels (again voiced by Eckstein), with the Premium Format Figure being directly inspired by her involvement in that series.
Ahsoka Tano resurfaced in Season 2 of The Mandalorian, portrayed by Rosario Dawson in the character's live-action debut. In the episode entitled "Chapter 13: The Jedi," she sought help from Mando in liberating a settlement from a cruel magistrate. Her appearance in the live-action series created a buzz among fans, and Dawson is slated to return as Ahsoka in her own spinoff series on Disney+, which is rumored to see Ahsoka pursuing Grand Admiral Thrawn.
The Star Wars Ahsoka Tano Premium Format Figure by Sideshow Collectibles is available now for pre-order and is expected to begin shipping between May and July of next year.
