Stardew Valley: Emily Heart Event Guide | CBR

In Stardew Valley, raising your friendship level with the town can be a rewarding experience and give you further insight into the residents and their background. Also a requirement for dating or marriage, special events play at certain heart levels with characters.

Completing quests for Emily will earn you friendship points, such as on the 6th of Spring, year 2, she will request an Apricot, and if the player can deliver her one, it will earn them 1 heart. Apart from quests, giving her favorite gifts is the quickest and best way to increase your friendship level with her and will trigger the following heart events.

To bump up your relationship quickly, Emily loves various mineable gifts and items relating to her love of creating clothing, such as Cloth and Wool. If the player enjoys using recipes in-game, Emily also loves a Survival burger made from Bread, Cave Carrot and Eggplant.

The best mineable objects to gift Emily is Amethysts or Topaz. These are commonly found during mining and sold for less money than her other preferred gifts, such as Emeralds or Rubies. Gifting her Quartz, which is also common and very obtainable, will earn her gratitude; however, as it is a liked object rather than loved, it will be a slower build-up to the relationship.

Reaching a two heart status with Emily, enter her house any time she is there. You will find her asleep in her room, and when the screen fades, you will be viewing her dream. She is floating and meditating an abstract dreamscape, and you appear from a cloud, startling her. Confused at your presence in the dream, rainbows start flashing by, and when you disappear from the cloud, she wakes up, believing the rainbows were a sign of something between you and her.

After reaching 3 hearts with Emily, she will send you a recipe for salad in the mail. This can be made and gifted back to her, but only for the number of points a liked gift is worth.

To trigger the four heart event, enter the town on a sunny day; however, this is not available in Winter. You will see Emily exiting her house and see three parrots fly above her. Waving, she greets them as ''friends,'' and when she's about to walk away, a fourth parrot suddenly flies into her window.

In shock, Emily picks up and cradles the parrot, bringing it inside to take care of it as it has now broken its wing. The parrot will now remain in Emily's room on a bird stand and will squeak and move if you click on it.

Upon reaching a six heart friendship, enter her house when she's there. She will be excited to show you a secret hobby she's been working on and will turn on her stereo and begin dancing. After the music ends, she asks you what you thought of her dancing.

At this point, it is important to select the dialogue options ''That was amazing!'' or ''(Say nothing and do a slow clap)'' as these will earn you +25 friendship, whereas selecting ''That was embarrassing…'' will lose you 50 friendship points.

When you reach seven hearts, you will receive another recipe in the mail for Red Plate, which can be cooked and gifted back to Emily for liked appreciation points.

Upon reaching an eight heart status with Emily, the player will receive a letter from her for her new ''Clothing Therapy'' idea and is instructed to go to the Mayor's Manor that day but can attend the next day if they forget. Emily stands beside a clothing rail in front of a few of the town's residents. She expresses her desire for everyone to become more comfortable in their personalities and outfit choices.

The residents change clothing into some wacky outfits and feel more happy and expressive to Emily's delight. The event ends with Emily about to reveal something to you but is interrupted by Clint, who seems saddened by the growing closeness between you and Emily.

At a 10 heart status, you will receive a letter from Emily to meet in the Secret Woods after 10 pm that night. You will need to upgrade to a Steel Axe to break the blocking Large Log at the entrance, but if this takes time to upgrade, the heart event will trigger the next time you enter the Secret Woods.

You spend a night camping with Emily by the fire when a bear comes out from the woods. Both of you dive into the tent while it sniffs around then leaves. Not willing to risk going out to get the other sleeping bag, you share the same sleeping bag, and the screen fades.

Emily's 14 heart event is only triggered when she and the player are married, and she has moved into the farmhouse. She will ask you to get 200 pieces of Fiber for her in the quest ''Errand for your Wife''. After getting this and waiting 3 days, enter the farmhouse late at night, between 8 pm and midnight. Emily will give you a whole new outfit, including a Magic Hat, Boots, Shirt and blue Genie Pants.

The 14 heart event is the last major cutscene for Emily, who will remain on the farm with you, helping out with chores such as feeding the animals, watering crops or giving gifts such as breakfast or dinner dishes.
