A Loki Guide: News, Easter Eggs, Reviews, Recaps, Theories and Rumors

WARNING: The following will contain constantly updated spoilers for Loki, which starts streaming on Disney+ June 9, 2021.

Disney+ has been going strong with its Marvel Cinematic Universe shows, with both WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier being widely embraced by fans and critics. The next title for the MCU is Loki, which is set to follow the time bending adventures of the titular God of Mischief. Back in Avengers: Endgame, the heroes' time traveling antics led to The Avengers' Loki escaping with the Tesseract, thus getting on the Time Variance Authority's radar. Now apprehended by the TVA, Loki must comply in order to right the timeline and stop a greater threat -- another Loki variant.

Loki has been an immensely popular character since his debut in Thor; however, he has yet to lead his own property until now. Despite this, his show is set to expand the MCU even more, was the most streamed Marvel show to date, and could lead to multiple seasons. With the show now airing, there is a lot to unpack, so keep up to date on the MCU's third Disney+ series, including its release date, trailers, featurettes, plot and news, right here on CBR's Loki Hub Page.

Tom Hiddleston will return to the role of Loki, but the show will also introduce a number of new faces, including Owen Wilson's Mobius and Gugu Mbatha-Raw's Judge Renslayer and Wunmi Mosaku's Hunter B-15. Other actors set to appear in the show include Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane and Eugene Cordero; however, at the time of this writing, their roles are not yet known. Meanwhile, Tara Strong voices the animated character Miss Minutes. The series is directed by Kate Herron, making this her first MCU property, while Michael Waldron, who is writing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, is the writer behind Loki.

Prior to its release, Loki was set to explore new parts of the cinematic universe, while incorporating references to the MCU and the comics that inspired the franchise. Now with the series airing, those Easter eggs are adding up, with Episode 1 referencing the Endgame time heist, incorporating a Skrull, taking fans back to Phil Coulson's death and more.

With Loki's set up relying on how the God of Mischief has messed up the timeline, there are bound to be plenty of theories, as anything is possible with time travel. From toys alluding to a "sacred" timeline to predictions about how the show will be formatted, fans have eagerly been predicting Loki's future even before the series premiered. Now with the series dropping episodes weekly, those theories expand, with some already hoping for Mephisto to make his debut, despite this theory being debunked already.

Loki stars Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Lexus Renslayer, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15 and Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane and Eugene Cordero in undisclosed roles. The series premieres June 9 on Disney+.
