Katara was quite young when she made a life-changing discovery. A hundred years after his disappearance, Katara found the long-missing Avatar. From his introduction, Aang had a clear interest in Katara. However, Katara had an interest in the Airbender that was not necessarily a romantic one.
Even though Katara would eventually fall in love with Aang, there are characters in other franchises that might be a more suitable match. While Aang loved Katara, he was always torn between his duty as the Avatar and his family. If Katara had married someone else, she could have ended up with someone solely dedicated to her.

Yugi is the main character from Yu-Gi-Oh!. Yugi is a kindhearted and selfless person, and his willingness to sacrifice himself for others shows that he is willing to be the hero.
Yugi's love of gaming could be therapeutic for Katara. She grew up in a time of war and hadn't had fun in years before meeting Aang. Yugi could remind Katara what it means to have fun and relax. His somewhat laid-back personality could help her feel at ease in a time of peace.

Al is a character from Fullmetal Alchemist. The brilliant and kind Alphonse had proven his skill as a fighter. His skills with alchemy aided him in his search for the alchemist stone. Like Katara, Al is used to living in a time of war and having to fight for survival. Katara would be attracted to his kindness and heroic nature. Both characters have an older brother they care for deeply.
6 Ken Kaneki - His Gentle And Optimistic Nature Would Attract Her (Tokyo Ghoul)
The main character of Tokyo Ghoul, Ken Kaneki, found his life undergoing massive changes after a medical procedure. His gentle and optimistic nature is reminiscent of Aang's personality. At the beginning of the series, Katara has inherited a power she had not yet mastered. She would be able to relate to Ken's inability to control his new powers, and they would be able to support each other. Ken is a loyal friend and would be loyal to Katara.

Having been treated as an outcast, he developed a severe hatred for humanity, but he would later redeem himself, becoming a more heroic character. Katara was willing to forgive Zuko when he showed an interest in changing, so she likely wouldn't hold Kiyoshi's past against him. With her, he could gain the acceptance he'd long missed. Like Katara, Kiyoshi has powers over water and could use his water-based powers to help her and perhaps improve her own skills.
3 Future Trunks - He Would Help Katara Have A Peaceful Life (Dragon Ball Z)
The Dragon Ball character Future Trunks was a time traveler. He grew up in a world at war. In his trip to the past, he was trying to change the world for the better. In his fight with Frieza, he proved how incredibly powerful he was.
He wouldn't mind lending his power to help another world establish peace. He is incredibly polite, a trait that would appeal to Katara. Together, they would be able to build a peaceful life.
2 Naruto Uzumaki - He Could Help Katara Stop The Fire Nation (Naruto)
The titular character of Naruto began life being shunned by his village. Inside him was a power he couldn't initially control. In time, he would become a great ninja who desired to find a way to end the constant warring throughout the world. Katara would enjoy his dedication to establishing peace. Naruto would have no problem with taking on the Fire Nation and trying to find a way to ensure Katara has a more peaceful life. Like Aang, his tendency to value pranks and fun could help break through Katara's shell.
1 Shoto Todoroki - His Powers Would Benefit Katara (My Hero Academia)
In My Hero Academia, Shoto is a hero-in-training at U.A. High School. He was born with power over ice and fire, with his ice-like power bearing many similarities with Katara's own powers. Together, they could train and improve their skills. His resistance to fire would be helpful in a fight against the Fire Nation. Shoto is a relatively quiet person. As a hero, he wants to make the world a better place. Together they could help make the world a better place.
