Todd McFarlane announced five new Avatar: The Last Airbender figures from McFarlane Toys.
"New and exciting for you folks...," McFarlane said on Twitter. "We've got Avatar: The Last Airbender action figures from McFarlane Toys coming your way VERY soon! You won't have to wait 100 years before you can pre-order this first wave... more to come, stay tuned!" The action figures include Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko and Appa, the five major characters in the earliest part of the Nickelodeon animated series.
According to McFarlane, this is just the "first wave" of more Avatar: The Last Airbender figures to come, which will soon be available for pre-order.
McFarlane Toys is mostly known for its DC Comics-inspired action figures like its recent line of Jokerized DC Multiverse characters, like Nightwing and Green Lantern. Though last year the company did a series of Dune Build-A-Figures of characters from the upcoming sci-fi film, including Jason Momoa's Duncan Idaho, Timotheé Chalamet's Paul Atreides, Rebecca Ferguson's Lady Jessica and Javier Bardem's Stilgar.
Most recently, McFarlane Toys teased five new figures, based on characters from James Gunn's upcoming film, The Suicide Squad. The figures include Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, Idris Elba's Bloodsport, John Cena's Peacemaker, David Dastmalchian's Polka Dot Man and King Shark, voiced by Sylvester Stallone on screen. According to McFarlane, pre-orders for the figures will become available before the release of the film.
