Season 2 of the acclaimed British drama series Innocent is coming to Sundance Now and the AMC+ streaming bundle, with the anthology releasing an exclusive trailer.
After a local teenager is discovered brutally murdered in a small English town, the woman accused of the heinous crime is ruled to be innocent five years later and released from prison. As the murder investigation resumes and poises to unearth dark secrets about the town, the accused's efforts to rebuild her life may be cut short before they can truly begin.
The first season of Innocent premiered in 2018, featuring an entirely different cast of characters and premise to widespread acclaim for its searing look at the British criminal justice system as a man is cleared of being convicted of his wife's murder.
Running for four episodes in all, Season 2 premiered on the United Kingdom's ITV this past May. As the new trailer hints, the familiar hallmarks of the first season, with its small town intrigue and a murderer on the loose are back in full force. And as the citizens of the Lake District are about to discover when an accused killer is released back among them, small town familiarity breed venomous contempt.
Directed by Tracey Larcombe, Innocent Season 2 stars Katherine Kelly, Jamie Bamber and Priyanga Burford. Season 2 premieres on Sundance Now and the AMC+ streaming bundle June 24.
