Loki BTS Featurette Teases the MCU's Newest Locales and Characters

Marvel Studios released a new featurette for Loki, offering a first-look behind the scenes of the Disney+ series.

The minute-long video features snippets of interviews with various cast members like Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, as well as director and executive producer Kate Herron. The feaurette also teases the chaotic nature of the set, with trap doors, wires and explosions abound, while also offering a look at the different locations featured in the series, like Roxxcart and the inside of the Time Variance Authority. "It's this really big story with a mixture of tones and genres," Herron said, followed by a clip of Hiddleston saying, "Loki's the God of Mischief, we have to do mischievous things."

"The TVA oversees the sacred timeline and keeps order," said Mbatha-Raw, to which Hiddleston asked, "What if you take a character that represents chaos and you put him in that world?" In another clip, Hiddleston also noted, "This is something I don't think Marvel has ever done. The audience will be really excited."

In a recent interview, Loki head writer Michael Waldron confirmed that the series would leave a lasting impact on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially with the film's connections to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, saying, "All of these stories, in their own way, are interconnected, and have ramifications. I think that certainly our aim with the Loki series was for it to have wide-reaching ramifications across the MCU moving forward."
