The Sims Finally Embraces Farming and Animals in New Expansion

EA is about to release yet another pack for The Sims 4. This one looks to finally be giving the fanbase what it has been asking for: farming and animals.

In a new trailer for the upcoming expansion pack, "Cottage Living," EA introduces a number of exciting new features such as whistling, country animals such as foxes, cows, chickens and a llama. Surprisingly, the trailer also sees the return of series staple character, Agnes Crumplebottom, who hasn't been seen in The Sims 4 until now.

EA first teased the upcoming expansion by sending postcards to a selection of YouTubers from the Sims community. The postcards were addressed to them from the fictitious Crumplebottoms and was sent from the expansion's setting of Henford-on-Bagley, hinting that the pack is inspired by the English countryside-- features of which are visible in the trailer.

There is also speculation, based on the name of the town, that the expansion will also finally bring cars to the game, as the name is theorized to have been inspired by Henry Ford, who built the first Ford car on Bagley Avenue in Detroit, Michigan.

The Sims 4's "Cottage Living" is currently available for pre-order and is scheduled to be released on July 22.
