Warner Bros. has announced the currently titled Tweety Mysteries, a new series than combines live-action mystery with just a touch of animated charm.
WarnerMedia's Tom Ascheim revealed that the series will be shot in live-action and will center on an aspiring investigative journalist and podcaster named Sydney, who is aided by none other than Tweety Bird, who will feature in the series as an animated character.
Ascheim compared the series to the coming-of-age comedy film, Harriet the Spy, but with Tweety on Sydney's shoulder as her assistant. The series is set in a small Washington state town, where Sydney and Tweety will have to combine their skills to solve a variety of local mysteries.
Tweety previously starred in The Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries, an animated series that ran from 1995 to 2002 and featured cameos from a number of Looney Tunes characters. The titular pair, along with Granny and Hector the bulldog, solved mysteries around the world, though Sylvester continued to try and eat his supposed crime-solving partner.
