The Spider-Verse has become a regular fixture of the Marvel multiverse. It became one of the major events of Peter Parker's life as Spider-Man and saw him forced to work with other versions of himself from alternate Earths.
Some of these alternate versions were silly while others were rather formidable but no one can deny that they are all powerful in their own way. Being powerful was no guarantee of survival against the villains of Spider-Verse, the Inheritors, but it does help.
10 Spider-Ham's Cartoonish Abilities Are Extra Special Protection
Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham gained new popularity as a result of Spider-Verse. Having debuted in 1983 in a line of comics aimed at kids. In Spider-Verse, he demonstrated the formidability of the powers he had apart from the other versions of Spider-Man.
Spider-Ham's cartoony nature allows him to adapt to situations and make them funnier. In Spider-Verse, this was demonstrated by his impersonation of Benjy Parker. This kept the Inheritors from completing their ritual. It also provided a disturbing look at him rendered realistically out of costume.
9 SP//dr and Peni Parker Have Superior Tech On Their Side
Peni Parker operated a cutting-edge robot that originally belonged to her father. While she survived Spider-Verse, she was not one of the pivotal characters, but recognizable, nonetheless. It's the mecha, housing a radioactive spider that is the real powerhouse in the duo.
Writer Gerard Way and Artist Jake Wyatt created Peni and SP//dr based on the Neon Genesis Evangelion suits. Peni has worked to improve the mecha, especially the web-shooters. It's extremely durable and contains armament not available to most versions of Spider-Man.
8 Spider-Wolf's Werewolf Abilities Didn't Save Him
Spider-Wolf didn't get to spend much time at all in the comics. His first appearance was also his last. A lot can be assumed by his appearance, being killed by the inheritor Karn.
As a rather large werewolf, Spider-Wolf can be assumed to add his considerable strength behind massive teeth and claws. It's possible that he even retained enough of his intellect to combine his spider-powers with the ferocious nature of his lycanthropic nature. A werewolf running up a wall after his prey could be terrifying.
7 Leopardon Was A Giant Mecha owned by Supaidāman
Spider-Verse featured several versions of Spider-Man based on Japanese culture. One of these was Supaidāman, a Spider-Man that was a popular defender of justice on his Earth. Supaidāman treated Leopardon as a friend rather than technology.
Leopardon was seemingly destroyed by the leader of the Inheritors, Solus. Lady Spider and Spider-Man 2099 found it and repaired the damage. His sword even proved to be pivotal in defeating the Inheritors.
6 Spider-Cyborg Had Lots Of Extra Weaponry
Spider-Cyborg of Earth-2818 was the first new Spider-Man seen in Spider-Verse. He used his cyborg attachments to surprise and defeat Karn. Unfortunately, these were only successful when surprising the Inheritors.
His largest weapon was a sonic cannon that he surprised Karn with during his first appearance. It's possible that his cyborg eye could provide scanning capabilities. His arms could also transform into a terrifying gun and claw.
5 Spider-UK Also Had The Powers of Captain Britain
One of the initial leaders in Spider-Verse was Spider-UK. This version of Spider-Man was also a member of the Captain Britain Corps. Since Roma and Saturnyne were busy with the beginnings of the collapse of the Multiverse, they charged Spider-UK with dealing with the Inheritors.
As a member of the Captain Britain Corps, he had access to the resources of Otherworld, and apparently the powers that all Captains share, primarily strength and durability. He never demonstrated an ability to fly, but it's unsure if he just preferred to swing with his web-shooters. His interdimensional transporter was given to him by Roma herself, making him pivotal in the Spider-Army's fight.
4 Solus Was The Most Powerful Of The Inheritors
All of the Inheritors were skilled in hunting versions of Spider-Man. Morlun seemed the most vicious and dangerous until Solus was revealed. As the patriarch of the hunters, he was the most powerful of all of them. His presence was enough to convey that.
The greatest demonstration of Solus's power came during the assault on Earth-13. Cosmic Spider-Man thought the Enigma Force was enough to oppose the Inheritors. Unfortunately, the Enigma Force came from the life energy of his universe, which Solus could feed on, whereas any of his children might be destroyed by it.
3 The Master Weaver Could Manipulate Reality With The Web of Life and Destiny.
The Inheritors made use of a being called the Master Weaver to transport between alternate Earths. As the Master Weaver, he could manipulate the threads of the Web of Life and Destiny. He once even used it to isolate the alternate Earth of the Spider-Man newspaper strips from the rest of the Multiverse.
Master Weaver was secretly one of the Inheritors, Karn. He had been constantly humiliated by the other Inheritors for his failure to save Solus's wife. While powerful, he was still capable of being killed, which the Superior Spider-Man did by slitting the Master Weaver's throat.
2 The Other Is the Manifestation of All Spider-Powers
The Inheritors were hunting and drawing the power of anyone touched by the Spider-Totem. It goes through the Multiverse granting spider-powers to beings. The Other was the name given to this manifestation of the Spider-Totem.
The Other was powerful enough to bring Spider-Man of the "main" Marvel Universe back to life. The Other manifested itself in other forms, such as Ero and Miss Arrow, and augmenting Spider-Man's clone, Kaine. As Kaine, the Other killed Solus but was then killed by Morlun. After Spider-Verse, the Other resurrected the Peter Parker of the MC2 Universe, claiming him as its new host.
1 Cosmic Spider-Man's Vast Power Was His Own Undoing
It seemed like a safe bet to use Cosmic Spider-Man's Earth as a safe base against the Inheritors. After all, he is Peter Parker that never gave up the powers of Captain Universe. He should be unbeatable, especially on his own Earth.
Solus was able to absorb all of Cosmic Spider-Man's energy since the Enigma Force was derived from the life energy of the universe. While it gave Cosmic Spider-Man nearly unlimited power, it made him the Inheritor's perfect victim.
