Attack on Titan is a sort of zombie apocalypse/mecha hybrid story, and the only thing that can take down a monstrous Titan is either another Titan or a highly skilled Scout soldier armed with ODM gear and twin paring blades for slicing Titan flesh. Mikasa Ackerman is among the best at what she does, and now, she is going to challenge other swordsmen to mortal combat. She's killed enough Titans for now.
The hit shonen series Bleach is also home to many of anime's best swordsmen, and these soul-cutting swords, or zanpakuto, have many magical abilities beyond their cutting edge. Despite this, Mikasa can take on many of these characters, and even defeat them if she is quick enough. Who can she take down, and who will end her Titan-slaying career right then and there?
10 MIKASA CAN DEFEAT: Rukia's Ice Powers Are Too Slow To Freeze Mikasa Ackerman
Rukia Kuchiki is a major supporting character in Bleach, and during the show's first season, she was effectively powerless. Later, Rukia regained her powers and revealed her icy shikai, Sode no Shirayuki. She is also rather adept at using kido spells.
If Rukia could trap Mikasa in ice with her shikai, then that would decide the match. However, Sode no Shirayuki's three dances are too slow to hit the ultra-agile Mikasa Ackerman, and Rukia's sword skills aren't enough to protect her up close. Mikasa has a clear advantage here.
9 MIKASA CAN'T DEFEAT: Izuru Kira's Shikai Will Make Mikasa Far Too Heavy
Izuru Kira is the Lieutenant of Squad 3, and his shikai, Wabisuke, embodies that squad's grim philosophy of battle. Wabisuke's shikai is a strange blade that will double the weight of anything it strikes, with no upper limit. This gives him a key advantage against Mikasa Ackerman.
Izuru is just barely skilled enough to block Mikasa's sword strikes, even if he takes a few blows in return. Mikasa's paring blades will become too heavy to use, and she must drop them. Then Izuru will do the some to her gear and even her own body. Mikasa can't fight gravity any longer and must surrender.
8 MIKASA CAN DEFEAT: Tetsuzaemon Iba Has No Useful Shikai To Call Upon
Mikasa's biggest challenge, aside from kido spells, is shikai and bankai, but she has nothing to fear from the zanpakuto of Tetsuzaemon Iba. Although Iba is a tough guy with decent sword skills, his shikai is a very simple melee type, with no special abilities. Not even its name has been revealed.
This ranks among the worst zanpakuto in all of Bleach, and Mikasa could easily avoid this shikai's large blade while serious damage with her own blades. Tetsuzaemon Iba can't handle an agile foe like Mikasa and will succumb.
7 MIKASA CAN'T DEFEAT: Captain Soi Fon Can Sting Mikasa To Death
A few characters in Bleach are trained assassins, and that includes Captain Soi Fon of Squad 2. She is not a conventional swordfighter, and in fact, she is almost never seen using her zanpakuto's sealed form. Instead, she is all about martial arts and shikai, and Mikasa is not ready.
Soi Fon's shikai, named Suzumebachi, is a metal stinger on her right finger that can deliver instant death when it strikes the same spot twice on the opponent's body. That, combined with Soi Fon's superior agility and technique, will allow her to claim victory over Mikasa.
6 MIKASA CAN DEFEAT: Momo Hinamori's Fire Abilities Won't Protect Her For Long
Lieutenant Momo Hinamori of Squad 5 is Toshiro Hitsugaya's childhood friend, and the nature of her zanpakuto contrasts sharply with Toshiro's. While Toshiro's shikai is all about ice, Momo's own shikai, Tobiume, is flame-based. On top of that, Momo is quite proficient with kido for her rank.
Momo's firepower is remarkable, but fire offers few defenses for its user, and Mikasa Ackerman can easily avoid Momo's flaming attacks and get in close to deal the final blow. Momo has some skill with the sword, but Mikasa's onslaught is too fast and too fierce for Momo to handle.
5 MIKASA CAN'T DEFEAT: Grimmjow Jeagerjaques Is A True Powerhouse
The 6th Espada, Grimmjow Jaegerjaques, doesn't have just one ability that would allow him to take down Mikasa Ackerman in a duel. He is simply too strong for her overall, especially when he is fighting in his released form, Pantera.
Grimmjow's toughness, strength, speed, agility, and instincts are all top-notch, and he could certainly hold off Mikasa's attacks with his bare zanpakuto. At one point, he might take her by surprise with a cero blast and vaporize her in its wide area of effect. It's not easy to dodge a cero.
4 MIKASA CAN DEFEAT: Circci Sanderwicci Has No Serious Defense Against Mikasa In Sealed Form
Cirucci Sanderwicci is an Arrancar who hardly on Grimmjow's level, and Mikasa stands a very real chance against her. Cirucci's released form might be enough to stand up to Mikasa, but in all likelihood, Mikasa could take Cirucci down before it even comes to that.
Cirucci's default mode has very few defenses, and her odd zanpakuto does not have a normal blade. She would struggle to block Mikasa's blades, and the ultra-quick Mikasa could easily take Cirucci's head off before Cirucci can release her zanpakuto to even the odds.
3 MIKASA CAN'T DEFEAT: Cang Du's Iron Skin Will Make Him Invincible
Cang Du is one of the Sternritter of the Wandenreich, and while he made little use of his The Iron ability, it is still clear that his ability will keep him safe from Mikasa's blades and give him a serious advantage. When The Iron is activated, Cang Du will become impervious to Mikasa's attacks.
Cang Du will eventually get used to Mikasa's speed and start hitting back, either with his bare hands or his Quincy bow and arrow. This battle will be a real grind, but in the end, Cang Du will win, thanks to The Iron. Mikasa can't keep up with this.
2 MIKASA CAN DEFEAT: Yumichika Ayasegawa Would Hold Back His True Power & Pay For It
The 5th seat Soul Reaper of Squad 11 is the pretty-boy Yumichika Ayasegawa, and to an extent, he can back up his lofty attitude with some serious sword skills. However, he keeps holding back his true power, and that will cost him against Mikasa. He won't use kido or even the full extent of his shikai.
Yumichika will fight Mikasa with his sealed zanpakuto and then its partial shikai, and that won't be enough to survive the multi-directional onslaught that Mikasa will unleash on him. Soon enough, Yumichika must submit, and he's too proud to use his true power to turn things around. That's simply how he operates.
1 MIKASA CAN'T DEFEAT: Kaname Tosen's Shikai & Bankai Would Render Mikasa Helpless
Captain Kaname Tosen of Squad 9 aims to win without shedding too much blood, but that doesn't mean he is a true pacifist. His shikai and bankai are quite effective in battle, relying heavily on kido-type abilities, and Mikasa has no real defenses against what Tosen can do.
Tosen's shikai, Suzumushi, emits a sonic tone that cripples anyone who hears it, and Mikasa will collapse once she hears it. She is in no shape to fight, and Tosen can capture her with kido to end the fight. He won't even need bankai, which can rob the enemy of all senses but touch and pain.
