Legends of Tomorrow: Mick Rory Struggles With Pregnancy | CBR

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 6, Episode 10, "Bad Blood," which aired Sunday on The CW.

Mick Rory received shocking news on last week's Legends of Tomorrow when a trip to 2023 introduced a pregnant Lita. While Mick was angry at his daughter for this, he learned to accept her choices and became excited by the prospect of being a grandparent. As that revelation came through, another followed when Gary told Mick that he's pregnant after his night with Kayla, and eggs are slowly growing in his head.

In "Bad Blood," Mick (Dominic Purcell) reacts to the news, and he's angry over this, choosing to ignore it at first. Because of this, Mick doesn't pay attention to the "baby bump" on his neck, hoping it will go away. Lita (Mina Sundwall), on the other hand, tries to help her dad realize the joys of the pregnancy while also learning why Mick disappeared from her life in 2022, thus confirming Purcell's departure from Legends of Tomorrow. The attention Mick receives about his situation frustrates the arsonist even more, and he suffers from unexplained headaches.

Lita talks to him about what he is going through, making Mick realize that her mother was not warned about her, like she was also not warned by Nico. This is similar to how Mick was not warned by Kayla (Aliyah O'Brien), yet all three are making the best of the situation. Mick admits to Lita that he left Kayla to die on Bishop's planet, accepting a possible death by childbirth because he feels guilty for leaving her behind. Before he could feel any more guilty about it, Lita goes into labor, forcing the grandfather-to-be to rush her into the med bay. Once there, Lita admits she faked it as a ruse to get Mick into the med bay in case he went in labor.

Mick accepts Lita's help and gets a scan done of his head, which confirms he is not going into labor. However, he discovers he has 48 eggs inside his head. While Mick starts off angry and feels guilty, seeing his ultrasound ultimately makes him happy, realizing he could make Kayla proud by taking care of their children and helping keep her memory alive in the upcoming episodes of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, which airs Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
