Guillermo del Toro released the opening scene for Netflix and DreamWorks Animation's Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans.
"A little action scene - seven days... tic-toc," del Toro tweeted. As for the clip, it features Douxie attempting to hide Nari from Bellroc and Skrael, resulting in a clash between mankind and magic.
"Team Trollhunters committed, about a decade ago, to try and push the boundaries of 3D CGI animation made for TV. We always hoped these three series could culminate with a massive ‘all-stars’ reunion," del Toro said of Rise of the Titans. "We wanted the feature to improve and expand but to also deliver more scope, more spectacle … more emotion, too. We are very proud of the Tales of Arcadia and extremely eager to deliver this spectacular finale."
Rise of the Titans was announced in August 2020 as the fourth and final chapter in del Toro’s Tales of Arcadia series. "DreamWorks Animation and Netflix both shared the very ambitious notion of doing the three series, interwoven and then finishing off with a bigger, epic-sized feature film to top it all off," he explained.
Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans arrives on Netflix July 21.
