Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool Enters the MCU with Marvel's Korg in Free Guy Spot

Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool makes his (un)official debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a special trailer breakdown for Free Guy.

Joining the Merc With a Mouth for "Deadpool's Maximum Reactions" is Thor: Ragnarok star Korg, voiced by Taika Waititi. After successfully reacting to Cruella while wondering, "Where are the f****** dogs?" Deadpool returns to react to a movie he "honestly thought came out like a year ago... Free Guy." The guest reactor is Korg, who was not his first choice since everybody else was too busy over on Disney+.

As Korg and Deadpool sit relaxed on a couch, the two begin watching a trailer for Free Guy. Deadpool pauses the video at various moments to allow the audience time to comment with quirky anecdotes, which Deadpool is able to ad-lib himself. When Jodie Comer makes her appearance, Deadpool and Korg begin celebrating happily, though Wade Wilson hopes Free Guy doesn't "fridge her." When Korg asks what fridging is, Deadpool replies, "Well, it's the practice of killing off or hurting a female character in order to motivate or torture the main character, also known as Deadpool 2. Thank you for asking."

Since Taika Waititi plays the villain in Free Guy, his voiceover appearance as Korg makes a lot more sense, even when you factor in the cost of computer-animating the MCU character. Other jokes include Korg getting a Disney+ series, remembering the last days of Fox before it was purchased by Disney
