A Spider-Man: Now Way Home Funko Pop! suggests the wall-crawler will be slinging more than just webs in the upcoming threequel.
The Pop! sees Peter Parker decked out in his new integrated suit while standing in a classic web-shooting pose. Rather than webbing, though, a very Doctor Strange-esque symbol emerges from Spidey's wrist, with a similarly patterned symbol glowing on his chest.
Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Stephen Strange was confirmed for No Way Home in October 2020. While the exact nature of his role remains shrouded in the Cloak of Levitation, it was initially reported that he'd fill the mentor position held by Tony Stark/Iron Man in Homecoming and Nick Fury in Far From Home.
While some fans have expressed their desire to see the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man break free from the mentor/mentee trope, the web-slinger is going to need all the help he can get in No Way Home. In addition to Jamie Foxx's Electro and Alfred Molina's Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus, reports suggest Willem Defoe will reprise his role as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin, setting the stage for the Sinister Six to make its long-awaited big-screen debut.
Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus and Jamie Foxx as Electro. The film arrives in theaters Dec. 17.
