YouTube's Superhero Diaries Introduces Its Alfred Pennyworth (Exclusive)

CBR can exclusively reveal the first look at Patrick Bristow as Batman's loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth in the YouTube web comedy series Superhero Diaries.

Many will recognize Bristow from such films as So I Married an Axe MurdererTransformers: Age of Extinction and the 2005 remake of The Longest Yard. He's also appeared in television shows like Family GuyMad About You and he even played the Wig Master in a fan-favorite episode of Seinfeld.

Created by Digital Sky and Scott Zakarin, Superhero Diaries is a biweekly YouTube comedy series that celebrates the superhero boom through the lenses of both action and satire. In addition to Bristow's Alfred, the show features Phil LaMarr as Green Lantern, a role he previously played in animated form on Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. Launching on Wednesday, July 21, the series will run for 30 episodes over 10 weeks.

If this sounds familiar, it's because Superhero Diaries debuted several episodes during a soft launch in early 2021. Due to limitations brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the stars of the series were forced to record their segments while socially distanced, with green screens and editing being utilized to bring things together. However, the proper launch will represent the original vision of the creators.
