Jujutsu Kaisen introduces readers and viewers to Yuji Itadori, a normal high school student whose life drastically changes. After the death of his grandfather, Yuji meets Megumi Fushiguro, a student from Jujutsu High School. His encounter with Megumi plunges him into a world of evil spirits and curses.
To honor his grandfather's dying words and save as many people as he can, Yuji eats a cursed object: the finger of Sukuna, the King of Curses. When he consumes the finger, he becomes Sukuna's vessel. Many want to see Yuji executed to keep Sukuna at bay, but he also has many allies that aid him on his journey to becoming a jujutsu sorcerer.
10 Kasumi Miwa Is A Skilled Swordsman
Kasumi is a second-year student at Kyoto High. She learns of Yuji through Principal Yoshinobu's desire to have him eliminated. Kasumi feels uncomfortable going along with his plan to take Yuji out at the Goodwill Event.
Kasumi is a skilled swordsman who can incorporate jujutsu into her swordsmanship. Although she does not have an innate technique, she can create barriers and dispel any curse that enters the barrier with her sword. Not having an innate technique, however, also leaves her vulnerable to attacks by those who are more powerful than she is.
9 Nobara Kugisaki Learns How To Use Black Flash
Nobara is a first-year student of Jujutsu High. Although at first she looks down on Yuji and Megumi, the three become close friends and allies. She is a grade 3 sorcerer, mainly due to her inexperience fighting curses.
During battle, Nobara can remain level-headed and has shown that she is not afraid to self-inflict pain in order to take down her enemies. She has a large cursed energy reserve, and when she learns to use Black Flash, her energy as well as her understanding of her cursed energy and how to utilize it increases.
8 Megumi Fushiguro Could Be As Powerful As Gojo Someday
Megumi Fushiguro is a first-year student at Jujutsu High. He meets Yuji when he is looking for a cursed object. After Yuji consumes Sukuna's finger, Fushiguro agrees to save him from execution after deducing he is a good person.
Megumi is a grade 2 sorcerer but has been recognized to have more potential and skill than Yuji. It has even been said that he could one day be on par with Gojo. He possesses the Ten Shadows Technique of the Zenin family and is also a skilled weapons user.
7 Maki Zenin Is A Skilled Cursed Tool User
Maki is a second-year student at Jujutsu High. Though she is only considered a grade 4 sorcerer, this does not reflect her actual skills. Her status is held up by the Zenin Clan, who rejected her because she does not possess cursed energy.
Despite this, Maki has proven to be a very powerful jujutsu sorcerer. She is physically very strong and fast, with quick reflexes. She uses cursed tools and is considered an expert in weaponry.
6 Panda Can Use His Siblings' Power
Although Panda looks like a fully grown panda, he is actually an Abrupt Mutated Cursed Corpse that Principal Yaga created. He is the only one of his kind, capable of intellect and acting on his own. He is a second-year student at Jujutsu High and a grade 2 sorcerer.
Panda has enhanced strength and endurance, but he is also unique in that he has 3 cores which give him special abilities and that he considers his siblings. His brother core allows him to transform into a gorilla form that grants him greater strength, speed, and power.
5 Toge Inumaki Has To Be Careful With His Words
Inumaki is a second-year student at Jujutsu High, but is considered a semi-first grade sorcerer. He inherited the cursed speech technique from his family, so he has to be very careful with his words.
Inumaki is considered to be one of the strongest and most respected jujutsu students. His cursed speech technique requires a lot of stamina, and if overused it can have adverse effects on his throat. Nonetheless, he is a very capable sorcerer, able to stay calm in dangerous situations, and he knows when and when not to use his powerful ability.
4 Aoi Todo Becomes Yuji's Best Friend
Todo is a student at Kyoto High and meets Yuji at the Kyoto Goodwill Event. Todo immediately befriends Yuji when he learns they have the same taste in women, even going so far as to teach him how to use Black Flash.
Todo is a very large and muscular guy, a grade 1 sorcerer who defeated five grade 1 curses and a special grade curse by himself. He displays great strength, and once combined with his cursed energy, he becomes a powerhouse of explosive moves.
3 Masamichi Yaga Accepts Yuji Into Jujutsu High
Yaga Masamichi is the Principal at Jujutsu High who interviews Yuji before accepting him into the school. Once he is satisfied with Yuji's answer as to why he wants to become a sorcerer, he admits Yuji into Jujutsu High.
Not only is Masamichi Gojo's teacher, he is also the creator of Panda. He is a grade 1 sorcerer and his special technique is the Cursed Corpse Technique in which he puts his cursed energy into a doll, allowing him to control it. He uses this technique to help train Yuji.
2 Kento Nanami Becomes Yuji's Mentor
Nanami is a former Jujutsu High student who quit being a sorcerer to pursue a normal career. He returns to the world of jujutsu sorcery and is thus introduced to Yuji while Gojo is training him. Nanami in turn becomes a mentor to Yuji.
Nanami is a grade 1 sorcerer and is considered a model example. One of his strongest abilities is his intellect and ability to use deductive reasoning in battle. He also possesses skills in hand-to-hand combat, whether he is armed or unarmed. He was the record holder for consecutive uses of Black Flash until Yuji came along.
1 Satoru Gojo Is The Strongest Sorcerer
Gojo is a teacher at Jujutsu High and one of Yuji's first allies. Perhaps due in part to his negative feelings towards the higher-ups, Gojo takes Yuji under his wing and helps him get into Jujutsu High.
Gojo is a special-grade sorcerer and has a reputation for being one of the most powerful. Not only does he possess strong cursed energy, he also has incredible physical strength, fast reflexes, and martial art skills. His Hollow Purple Technique is his most powerful skill, eliminating anything and everything in its path.
