Power Rangers Universe Event Series Will Explore Franchise's Hidden Origins

A BOOM! Studios event series titled Power Rangers Universe will explore many of the deepest origins and hidden secrets of the franchise.

The creative team on Power Rangers Universe consists of writer Nicole Andelfinger and artist Simone Ragazzoni. Andelfinger is a Los Angeles-based writer and with a background in magic, monsters and myth. Some of her previous works include Jim Henson’s Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, Regular Show, Rugrats, Steven Universe and graphic novels based on Sabaa Tahir's New York Times bestselling series An Ember in the Ashes and the Emmy Award-winning Netflix animated series The Dragon Prince.

Power Rangers is one of the longest-running kids' live-action series in television history, celebrating 28 continuous years on the air and nearly 900 episodes. The franchise celebrates its 28th season with Power Rangers Dino Fury, currently airing Saturdays at 8 a.m. ET/PT on Nickelodeon.

BOOM! Studios' Power Rangers Universe features a main cover by Dan Mora (Once & Future) and variant covers by Miguel Mercado (Magic), Goñi Montes (Mighty Morphin), InHyuk Lee (Wolverine), and more. The limited series goes on sale in December.
