In The Witcher, young boys train at Kaer Morhen to become mutated, highly-skilled monster hunters. A Polish LARP company is now offering a similar experience for all enthusiastic Witcher fans.
5 Elements, a LARP company based in Poland, with licensing from The Witcher video game developer CD Projekt Red, is offering fans a three-day event suited to fans of different levels of experience, physical ability and knowledge of Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher universe.
The price of the ticket, approximately $578, includes food and drink, accommodation, costumes and photos. In order to provide an immersive experience, players will be hosted at one of several Polish castles. They will be taught to fight, brew potions and hunt monsters through 12 hours of training and be asked to solve mysteries and embark on different adventures.
5 Element's LARP event employs actors and special effects to provide a lore-faithful witcher experience. The company teases an event held at a castle where participants will meet familiar characters from the novels, including Phillipa Eilhart, Vesemir and more, as well as characters from CD Projekt Red's video games, such as Gaunter O'Dimm.
During this time, 5 Elements has explained that health and safety rules are in effect in order to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). This includes the implementation of health checks, sanitization and more.
