Wes Craven's 1996 horror classic Scream is returning to theaters this Halloween.

In honor of the film's 25th anniversary, Fathom Events is bringing Scream to select theaters on Sunday, Oct. 10 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 11 at 7:00 p.m. Those who attend will also be able to catch a behind-the-scenes look at the movie that includes archived interviews with the late Craven, as well as stars like Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox.

"When it comes to suspenseful horror films of the ‘90s, ‘Scream’ revitalized the genre and created a global franchise," Fathom Events Vice President of Studio Relations Tom Lucas said. "Film fans should get ready and buckle up for a fiendishly clever ride this Halloween season at their local theater!"

While Scream helped redefine the horror genre in the late 1990s, the franchise is far from complete. In May 2020, it was announced that a fifth Scream film was in the works, featuring the return of Campbell, Cox, David Arquette and Marley Shelton, along with newcomers Jack Quaid, Dylan Minnette, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega. Simply titled Scream, the new movie arrives in theaters Jan. 14, 2022.
