The Most Overpowered Non-Marvel & Non-DC Comic Book Weapons | CBR

The best thing about writing fiction is that the writers are in charge of setting the scales and many comic book writers and movie directors have done just that. There are so many weapons and technology that are ridiculously overpowered, from Marvel’s Sentry super-soldier formula to DC’s Anti-Life Equation.

However, there are comics outside of the mainstream sphere that feature godly weapons. Some of these comics include those from Image, Valiant, and even comics without superheroes. Many of these overpowered weapons have become as powerful as they have due to the power creep that's inherent to long-form serialized fiction.

10 Hutch's Power Rod Lets A Normal Human Fight Superhumans (Jupiter's Legacy)

Featured most recently in the Netflix adaptation of Jupiter’s Legacy, Hutch’s power rod is surprisingly powerful. Despite being made from an old flashlight and running on AA batteries, the rod can create forcefields and blasts that even superhumans cannot withstand.

However, the rod’s most powerful function is its ability to teleport its user almost anywhere with only a spoken command. With just one word, Hutch can instantly teleport to anywhere in the world. Hutch can even command the rod when he’s not holding it, teleporting whoever's holding on to it at the time.

9 The Darkness Can Grant The User Anything They Want (The Darkness)

Passed down from generation to generation and granted to the new host on their 21st birthday, the entity known as "The Darkness" is a powerful lifeform that materializes itself as a suit of armor. It can grant the user enhanced physical abilities, the ability to survive in hazardous environments, and shapeshift into a variety of forms and weapons for the user to wield.

8 Turns Out Being A Vegan Makes You A God (Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World)

Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Scott Pilgrim series blended the real world with a myriad of video game references and sci-fi powers to create a wholly unique setting. On Scott’s quest to defeat Ramona’s seven evil exes, he encounters Todd Ingram, Ramona’s third ex and current bassist of The Clash at Demonhead. What makes Todd unique is his vegan mind powers.

By swearing off a large portion of food types and visiting a specialized academy, Todd was granted near-limitless psychic abilities that range from creating dense forcefields to moving large objects great distances, such as when he almost threw Scott into orbit.

7 Spawn's K7-Leetha Let Him Beat Both God And Satan (Spawn)

Al Simmon’s career as the dreaded Spawn is famous among comic fans as Todd McFarlane’s independent classic. The majority of his power as Spawn comes from the K7-Leetha necroplasm suit. It provides its user with enhanced strength, durability, camouflage, and shapeshifting capabilities.

What makes K7 so powerful is its nature to evolve and improve itself as it ages. Theoretically, there is no limit to what K7 can become given an infinite amount of time.

6 The XO-Manowar Armor Made A Visigoth A Superhuman In The Modern World (XO-Manowar)

The XO-Manowar armor makes its introduction by traveling through deep space and landing on Earth, piloted by a Visigoth warrior named Aric of Dacia who would otherwise have no knowledge of flight, space, or astrophysics. The armor grants immense power to its users and seemingly requires no training to utilize functions such as interstellar travel.

Sometimes referred to as Shanhara, the armor provides the user with strength and durability, varied energy projection and manipulation, and flight that can allow the user to travel through deep space with ease.

5 Bloodshot's Nanomachines Make Him Immortal (Bloodshot)

What began as a military-created super-soldier later became an unstoppable killing machine. The nanomachines that flow through Bloodshot's body and grant him his powers provide him with an incredible regeneration factor that can heal almost any wound. Released in two versions, the Mk1 and Mk2, the Lawgiver has several functions designed to fit every situation, from grenades to gas rounds. 3 Lord Drakkon's Armor Comes From Two Of The Most Powerful Rangers (Power Rangers)

By fusing the powers of both the Green Ranger and the White Ranger, an alternate timeline version of Tommy Oliver created the armor that he would use as Lord Drakkon.

Powered by two of the most powerful Ranger suits in the original canon, Drakkon was able to defeat the Power Rangers of his timeline and create an empire for himself where he controlled an army of Ranger Sentries. Drakkon’s armor gave him access to both the Dragonzord and the White Tigerzord, making him even more dangerous than he already was.

2 The Satsui No Hado Is A Near Unbeatable Weapon (Street Fighter)

The Surge of Murderous Intent is a powerful energy source in the Street Fighter series designed only to kill the opponent. Once the energy is unlocked, the user has access to the Raging Demon technique, which kills the target with the weight of their sins.

This power is unstoppable and can only be defended against with its antithesis, the Power of Nothingness, the ultimate clearing of the mind. Also, since the Raging Demon targets the soul, artificial lifeforms and those without souls cannot be affected.

1 The Tech Jacket Is One Of The Most Powerful Weapons In The Image Continuity (Invincible)

The Tech Jacket is an incredibly powerful and versatile piece of armor created by the Geldarian race. Gifted to Zach Thompson by a dying member of the species, the vest could create a mechanical exoskeleton that comes with a variety of functions. The vest was so powerful it was even capable of killing Viltrumites and Zach was recruited by Mark Grayson specifically for that reason during Invincible's war with the Viltrumites.

Zach has been stated to be far more powerful than any Geldarian when wielding the Tech Jacket since the Geldarian race is so frail and weak. Not only does the suit enhance his body, but it also grants energy projection, space travel, and even sustains its host while worn. And while Zach may be reliant on the jacket, it is almost impossible to remove.
