8 Thrillers to Watch After You | CBR

Another gripping season of Netflix's You has come to an end, and fans are itching to see where the story goes from here. You explores the erotomania and obsessive love between Joe and his romantic interests. It heavily focuses on violent stalkers, serial killers and the dangers of exposing yourself -- knowingly or unknowingly --to such an unstable individual. While fans wait for the next season, which has already been greenlit, here are some like-minded thrillers to check out during the hiatus.

Following the obsessive tendencies of MI5 security officer, Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh), and a very talented Russian assassin, Villanelle (Jodie Comer), Killing Eve is a spy thriller unlike any other. When Villanelle makes her mark by committing universal killings, Eve is instantly fascinated by the prospect of such an untouchable female assassin. Eve is then tasked with hunting down the assassin, and a fierce game of cat-and-mouse ensues.

All three seasons of Killing Eve can be streamed on BBC iPlayer, Hulu or Amazon Prime.

In 2014, director David Fincher unveiled his masterpiece, Gone Girl, which became renowned for its interesting twist on the classic "did he or didn't he" trope. It focuses on the relationship between former New York-based writer, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck), and his glamorous wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), who present the illusion of a blissful marriage to the public. However, Amy mysteriously goes missing on their fifth wedding anniversary, making Nick the prime suspect in her disappearance.

Gone Girl is currently on Hulu.

Starring Amy Adams, The Woman in the Window was seen by critics and audiences alike as a positive exploration of grief and agoraphobia. It follows Dr. Anna Fox, who witnesses a heinous crime while keeping tabs on the Russell family -- the seemingly picture perfect clan that lives across the way. Related pieces such as Rear Window (1954) and Copycat (1995) were key inspirations to its development.

I'm Thinking of Ending Things is a psychological thriller, written and directed by Charlie Kaufman. It was adapted from the 2016 novel of the same name by Iain Reid. Its plot follows Lucy (Jessie Buckley), a young woman who contemplates ending her approximately seven-week relationship with her boyfriend, Jake (Jesse Plemons), while on a trip to meet his parents at their farm.
