Dragon Ball: 10 Anime Characters Who Have The Qualities Of A Saiyan

Saiyans, an alien race from the series Dragon Ball Z, is one of the more notable races in the anime-manga metaverse. Saiyans are an aggressive race of fighters, in Universe 7, who strive to be the strongest race in their universe. By nature, Saiyans are typically combat-addicted warriors who enjoy battle as if it was breathing.

The way of the Saiyan leads to the race being aggressive, headstrong, and, at times, very arrogant. There are many characters who can embody the spirit and attitude of a Saiyan, even some aspects of it, but only some make the perfect Saiyan warrior.

10 Yammy Llargo Rages Like A Saiyan (Bleach)

Yammy, one of the Espada in the Bleach anime/manga is one of the best examples of a Saiyan's qualities. Yammy is always ready for battle and has an unwillingness to lose or accept defeat. His anger is what empowers him, making him very familiar to those who know Saiyans rather well.

Yammy becomes stronger the angrier he gets and that fuels him. There is no doubt that if Yammy had an ounce of Saiyan DNA, he'd be one of the more notable fighters in DBZ, along with powerhouses like Broly.

9 Hisoka Marrow Lusts For Battle, Just Like A Saiyan (Hunter x Hunter)

Hisoka, from Hunter x Hunter, seeks out battle and combat. He seeks power; his entire purpose for being a Hunter is to fight powerful foes. Hisoka is a trained fighter and due to his abilities surpassing most of the people around him, he tends to play around with those weaker than himself.

But when Hisoka has to take a threat seriously, there's not much that stops him from doing so and going all out. Hisoka is a character that embraces a Saiyan's aggression nicely, but his methods are more calculated. Hisoka is certainly more patient than others on the list, but he certainly still has the spirit of a Saiyan within him.

8 Black Star Has Saiyan Arrogance (Soul Eater)

Saiyans are arrogant, and one character that bleeds arrogance is Soul Eater's Black Star. Black Star believes in his abilities way more than he should at times. And while that's not a bad thing on its own, it's a very Saiyan trait to have. It doesn't stop there with Black Star, the self-proclaimed "being to transcend the gods" has an iron-will as well.

Whether he's losing a fight or not, his willingness to not give up and give in is almost unmatched. Even if it means death, Black Star has Saiyan stubbornness as well as arrogance.

7 Sanemi Shinazugawa Is As Intense As Any Other Saiyan (Demon Slayer)

Demon Slayer's Sanemi, the Wind Pillar, would be a perfect Saiyan warrior. Hot-headed, aggressive, and big on combat, Sanemi displays a great deal of anger and rage, which is very reflective in his design as well.

However, Sanemi uses his rage as a means of bettering himself and his abilities. He's not inherently influenced by it, but he does let it influence his abilities. Sanemi is a Pillar with anger towards any and all demons, which guides his desire to fight. If any of the Pillars had the spirit of a Saiyan in them, it'd be Sanemi.

6 Ryomen Sukuna Has Saiyan Malice (Jujutsu Kaisen)

The greatest known threat to the Jujutsu Kaisen world and alter-ego of Yuuji Itadori is the great Sukuna. Sukuna is a cursed spirit with the Saiyan spirit running through his soul. Being labeled as the strongest cursed spirit, he is undoubtedly very arrogant, as he merely plays around with those below him. And as far as Sukuna is concerned, no one is near his level.

Sukuna is aggressive and unhinged, willing to kill for the sake of his own enjoyment. Sukuna has an awfully sadistic nature, comparable to the likes of Saiyans like Nappa. That comparison alone makes him a very valid contender for the list besides the reputation that proceeds him.

5 Garou Is As Stubborn As Vegeta (One-Punch Man)

While Metal Bat does exist as a fair contender for the list, for the One-Punch Man universe, Garou seems more fitting. Garou's seemingly endless search for battle makes him another great addition to the hypothetical Saiyan roster.

Even with the odds against him, Garou shows a willingness to fight people above his own paygrade. Garou does this for the simple pleasure of getting stronger, so he can become the greatest monster he can be. He eludes the perfect attitude for a Saiyan with that stubbornness that only a Vegeta could love.

4 Mereoleona Vermillion Has Fiery Saiyan Spirit (Black Clover)

Mereoleona from Black Clover embodies the Saiyan's fiery passion. Literally, in some cases. Mereoleona is an aggressive woman, not holding back that aggression for anyone and fighting anything that will put up a fight. And if it doesn't, she'll force it to.

Mereoleona is a combat tactician with battle on her mind at all times, seeing winning or losing as a plus side to her bottom-line regardless. Unwavering in the face of death and laughing as she clashes with her foes, she shares the Saiyan's fighting spirit and lust for battle more than most others on the list.

3 Veldora Tempest Has The Saiyan Spirit In Him (Slime Reincarnation)

The great Dragon Veldora of Slime Reincarnation fame is certainly on par with Super Saiyans in power, but also in attitude. Veldora is arrogant. From creating his own fighting style based on manga he read to facing off with other top-tiers of the Slime-verse, Veldora is a dragon with Saiyan-like blood in his veins.

He'll fight almost anyone (besides his sisters) with the same vigor regardless. Veldora tends to look for a tough fight, one that would challenge him and his abilities to better himself, which would be very Saiyan of him.

2 Kenpachi Zaraki Will Fight Anyone Like A Saiyan Would (Bleach)

With Bleach's cast of battle-crazed loons, one cannot overlook the attitude and behavior of Kenpachi. Every being in his body enables him to fight; he himself would say that it is his only purpose in life.

Kenpachi is the Captain of Squad 11 of the Gotei, and the ideas he lives by are reflected onto those in his Squad. Obtain power, fight, and leave the weak to die. Kenpachi doesn't have the Saiyan arrogance but that may be due to the fact that he doesn't care about much but a person's fighting ability compared to his own. By all counts, he'd be a Saiyan.

1 Bakugo Katsuki Is The Perfect Saiyan (My Hero Academia)

My Hero Academia's Bakugo would be a great Saiyan warrior. Bakugo has the energy, the attitude, and the combat ability to be a Saiyan, and Bakugo's personality is very comparable to Vegeta's in many regards. All of the great qualities of a Saiyan are why Bakugo is so beloved, but also why he's so effective as a soon-to-be Pro Hero.

Bakugo doesn't show a lot of his cards, but what you do get from Bakugou is that if he were a Saiyan, he'd be one of the most legendary to date.
