Originally released in 1996, Scream aimed to be a horror movie made for horror movie fans. The story followed Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and her circle of friends as their town was terrorized by a masked murderer who took his cues from the likes of HalloweenFriday the 13th and Craven's own A Nightmare on Elm Street. The film was a success, leading to sequels in 1997, 2000 and 2011, as well as a television spin-off series.

The fifth installment in the franchise will be titled Scream again. Courtney Cox, who played intrepid reporter Gale Weathers in each of the films, said of the new one, "This is the 5th one, it's not Scream 5 though, this is Scream. It's hip, it's scary, it's just a new Scream - it's not a reboot, it's not a remake, it's just a brand new launch." Due to Wes Craven passing away in 2015, Scream will be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who are best known for helming another horror comedy, Ready or Not.

The screening at the Prince Charles Cinema will be on Monday, Oct. 11 and is currently sold out. Other screenings are available to attend via Fathom Events.
