The trailer, which was released in early September, gives players a preview of ISEKAI Memories' gameplay, graphics style, characters and more. The player assumes the role of Rimuru Tempest, the original story's hero. Through him, the player can build an all-new nation of monsters from the ground up. In the trailer, players begin with Rimuru building a modest goblin village of cottages and tents, but may soon build their way to a proper city, complete with brick roads and multi-story buildings. Fan-favorite characters such as Shion, Benimaru the fire swordsman, Demon Lord Milim Nava, Princess Shuna and even Gobta will appear in ISEKAI Memories, complete with their signature magical attacks from the original Slime anime.

According to the game's official website, over 800,000 players have pre-registered so far. Based on how many players pre-register for ISEKAI Memories, players can obtain special outfits for the characters, including alternate skins for Shuna and Gobta. Players may also receive bonuses such as stamina recovery items, recruit tickets, additional magicrystals and much more.

According to the game's official site, ISEKAI Memories will follow the original anime's plot from the very beginning, when Rimuru Tempest met Veldora the storm dragon and the goblin tribe. The game will add extra quests and characters to offer a fresher experience. The anime has two complete seasons to its name, giving ISEKAI Memories plenty of material and characters to work with.

The game will include new storylines and characters designed under the original author's supervision, including Shinsha, who may be Rimuru's daughter, and the villainous Izis, a witch mirror who nurses a fierce desire and will hunt Rimuru down during the game's events. Notably, Shinsha not only resembles Rimuru but shares his unique skills Predator and Great Sage, suggesting that she will have massive potential in the game. Aside from that, the story and characters of ISEKAI Memories should be familiar to Slime fans.

ISEKAI Memories covers multiple genres, including city-building elements, a JRPG-style combat system and more. This reflects the original anime, where Rimuru built an entire nation and cultivated many friendships and alliances in his new isekai world. Players can spend gold coins and other resources to build new structures in Rimuru's city, expand their production of food and other goods and expand from villages to towns to cities. The player can also befriend many original Slime characters and ISEKAI Memories originals and give them gifts to upgrade Rimuru's relationships with them. Building these relationships can enhance the other party's combat stats and loyalty to Rimuru, among other benefits.

Though it was originally released in Japan in March 2021, no specific US release date has been set for ISEKAI Memories. According to the official website states that the game will be released late in 2021, so it may be sooner rather than later. The game will be available for free download in the Apple Store for iPhone users and the Google Play Store for Android users. ISEKAI Memories will also feature in-app purchases.
