Spider-Man’s ‘Living’ MCU Suit Is More Powerful and Deadlier Than Venom

In the original Spider-Man comics and films, Peter Parker makes his suits from scratch. As a result, there are never any significant technological advancements. However, as his career as a superhero expands, he has since upgraded his suit to feature more armors. He has even been the host to the dangerous symbiote, which boosted his abilities but corrupted his mind. That being said, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tony Stark outfitted Peter with advanced suits the moment they met, and Peter has since grown his suit's capabilities with each appearance. While it's an impressive feat for the character, it may prove to be an even more dangerous threat than the symbiote.

There's no denying that the symbiote in the Venom films is as dangerous as it is powerful. Venom has shown that he has immense strength along with the ability to use his body to form tendrils that can stretch to grab or suffocate foes. Its remarkable memory also gives it the skills to remember and execute complex tasks or recall codes to access secret facilities. However, compared to Peter's suits in the MCU and the technology he wields, it pales in comparison.

Because Tony Stark was a futurist, he often put himself into technological predicaments that jeopardized himself and even the world. A small example was his Mark 42 suit being activated in his sleep, while a much more significant threat would be the creation of Ultron.

The core factor between these two situations is that Tony's tech can sometimes get the better of him. Even the comics proved this when one of his suits gained sentience and became a threat. Considering Peter is improving and evolving his suits at an even faster rate without completely understanding its capabilities, he could create a "living" suit of his own.

In the films, J.A.R.V.I.S. was an AI Tony created to organize his life and later help regulate suit functions. Tony gave Peter a similar AI named Karen. In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter hacked his Stark Tech suit and deactivated the "Training Wheels" protocol. This opened up Peter's suit capabilities to include over 500 web-shooter combinations, thermal and reconnaissance modes, a way to watch his vitals and a system to tell him when and where to go at any moment. The suits's designed to help Peter be a better hero, but should it gain sentience similar to Ultron; it could prove to be highly dangerous.

As Peter's story has progressed, his suits have changed as well. Potentially the deadliest upgrades he has gotten with his suits include the Iron Spider suit, which features four extra limbs and a protective layer of armor. Thanks to its nanotech makeup, the suit is also intangible without a body inside of it. Should it gain sentience, it could prove to be nearly impossible to beat.

That being said, it still requires charging, which would leave it open to vulnerabilities. However, the upgraded suit features taser webs with an even higher voltage to combat Mysterio's drones in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Theoretically, the voltage could solve the Iron Spider's charging issue, making it unstoppable.

In the end, what makes Peter's spider suits so dangerous can be organized into two factors - physical and digital. Physically, the suit has an instant kill mode in which the Iron Spider's four arms emerge and stab everything in its perimeter. However, it's also possible that the suit has a connection to weapons systems like E.D.I.T.H. This would give the suit control over even more deadly technology, so while his future is unknown, Peter could be setting himself up for his own, even more dangerous Ultron parallel.
